PERFORMERS

The Blue Hill Quartet was created in the summer of 2014, and is comprised of Wyatt Underhill, Katherine Liccardo, Marta Lambert and Seth Biagini. The name Blue Hill Quartet is derived from the seed of its existence, Kneisel Hall, which is situated in Blue Hill, Maine. The quartet’s unrelenting passion to explore and share chamber music inspired them to continue their endeavors together in New York. Blue Hill has participated in a variety of events and venues via connections with Groupmuse, an organization that brings chamber music closer to people via house parties in homes and offices. Additional performance opportunities include a collaboration with the Focus Festival at The Juilliard School, where the quartet gave a world premiere performance of Four TEEN by Ushio Torikai. Their most recent achievement was a performance in the Wednesdays at One concert series at Alice Tully Hall where they played Ligeti’s String Quartet No. 1. The group studies at The Juilliard School under the primary instruction of Ronald Copes and Laurie Smukler, with additional coachings from Mark Steinberg, Ida Kavafian, and Curtis Macomber.
