Winner of a 2009 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Arnaud Sussmann has distinguished himself with his unique sound, bravura, and profound musicianship. Minnesota’s Pioneer Press writes, “Sussmann has an old-school sound reminiscent of what you’ll hear on vintage recordings by Jascha Heifetz or Fritz Kreisler, a rare combination of sweet and smooth that can hypnotize a listener.” A thrilling young musician capturing the attention of classical critics and audiences around the world, he has appeared on tour in Israel and in concert at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Dresden Music Festival in Germany, and the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC. He has been presented in recital in Omaha on the Tuesday Musical Club series, New Orleans by the Friends of Music, Tel Aviv at the Museum of Art, and at the Louvre Museum in Paris. He has also given concerts at the OK Mozart, Moritzburg, Caramoor, Music@Menlo, La Jolla SummerFest, Mainly Mozart, Seattle Chamber Music, Bridgehampton, and the Moab Music festivals. Mr. Sussmann has performed with many of today’s leading artists including Itzhak Perlman, Menahem Pressler, Gary Hoffman, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Wu Han, David Finckel, Jan Vogler, and members of the Emerson String Quartet. A former member of Chamber Music Society Two, he has regularly appeared with CMS in New York and on tour, including performances at London’s Wigmore Hall. He was recently signed by IMG Artists for worldwide representation.

Cellist Calvin Chan was born in Chicago and grew up in Seattle, where he began his cello studies at the age of 11. From an early age Mr. Chan has performed with a variety of ensembles including Everett Philharmonic, Seattle Youth Symphony, Bellevue Youth Symphony, and the Academy Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Chan also participated in the National Orchestral Institute and the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific. He has performed in master classes with renowned musicians such as Hans Jorgen Jensen, Phoebe Carrai, Robert DeMaine, Michael Tree, and the Ying Quartet. Mr. Chan graduated from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Steven Doane and was awarded the prestigious Lois Smith Rogers Scholarship for four years. He is currently pursuing a master of music degree at Manhattan School of Music where he studies with Julia Lichten. Double bassist Milad Daniari resides in New York City and maintains a versatile performing career. Mr. Daniari travelled to Breckenridge, CO in 2014 as principal bassist with the National Repertory Orchestra. He has performed regularly with freelance orchestras on the east coast including the Union City Philharmonic, Gateway Classical Music Society, Ensemble 212, Urban Playground Chamber Orchestra, and the Chesapeake Orchestra, and served as principal bassist of the New York Youth Symphony for the 2013-2014 season. In the summers of 2010 and 2011, Mr. Daniari travelled to Victoria, BC in order to study and collaborate with world famous double bass soloist Gary Karr, as part of his annual summer master class series. These studies culminated in a series of well-reviewed concerts
at the University of Victoria. Since then, Mr. Daniari has performed as principal bass of several Manhattan School of Music orchestras, including the Chamber Sinfonia. In the summer of 2013, he attended the Round Top Festival Institute as an orchestral fellow. He has performed under world renowned conductors Michael Stern, Jeffrey Kahane, Perry So, Pascal Verrot, and others. He is the 2014-2015 recipient of the Ambrose Monell Foundation Scholarship and was selected as a finalist in the Fort Worth Symphony Young Artists Competition. Mr. Daniari is a student of New York Philharmonic principal bassist Timothy Cobb and is currently pursuing his bachelor of music in double bass performance at Manhattan School of Music. Hailed as “flawless” by the Enterprise Record, Michael Eby enjoys a multifaceted career, frequently performing chamber and solo works on both violin and viola. In recent summers he has attended Meadowmount School of Music, Interlochen Arts Camp, Nyack Academy of Music Festival, and Killington Music Festival. At Interlochen, Mr. Eby was an Emerson Scholar and performed as a member of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra. Last summer, Mr. Eby served as concertmaster of the first Killington Music Festival Orchestra. He has performed in master classes for Joseph Silverstein, Mikhail Kopelman, Ruggiero Ricci, Daniel Andai, Michael Tree, Kurt Muroki, William Barbini, Terrie Baune, Kazuhide Isomura, and Peter Winograd. He won first prize in the Paradise Symphony Young Artist Auditions and was the California State Old Time Fiddle Champion in 2008. Mr. Eby is currently an undergraduate student at Manhattan School of Music, where he studies violin with Isaac Malkin. Violinist Tianyang Gao was born in Nantong, China and began to play violin at the age of five. He participated in the Kneisel Hall Music Festival in 2013 and has also performed with the Shanghai Opera Orchestra in He Luting Concert Hall. In 2014, He was one of the finalists of Schoenfeld Violin Competition. He won First Prize in the Solo Violin Competition (Shanghai region) in 2001 and Second Prize in the junior category of the National Violin Competition, held in September 2006. In 2000, he began studying with Ms. Fang Lei, professor of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and entered the elementary school affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2002. In July 2005, he was approved to enter The Music Middle School without entrance examinations. He currently studies with Ronald Copes at The Juilliard School. Violinist Julia Glenn has been described as “gripping” (New York Times) and “fully focused and betraying not one whit of insecurity” (Boston Musical Intelligencer). She has concertized internationally on stages including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Sanders Theatre, Jordan Hall, Beijing Concert Hall, and Shanghai Concert Hall. In 2012, she obtained a bachelor of linguistics magna cum laude from Harvard University and in 2013, her master of music from New England Conservatory. Ms. Glenn is a second-year doctoral student at the Juilliard School, where she studies with Joseph Lin. She plays a Vuillaume on generous loan to her from Ms. Rhonda Rider. An avid chamber musician, violist Molly Goldman has collaborated with David Coucheron, Steven Doane, Juliana Athayde, and Rosemary Elliott among others. As a soloist
Ms. Goldman has performed with the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, the Contemporary Youth Orchestra, and the Eastman Philharmonia Orchestra after winning the concerto competition at Eastman as a sophomore. In past summers, Ms. Goldman has held fellowships at the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Most recently she was invited to participate in the Sibelius Academy’s Creative Dialogue Symposium. Ms. Goldman is currently both a Morse Fellow and a Music Advancement Program Fellow at Juilliard. At Eastman School of Music, Ms. Goldman obtained degrees in music performance and music education with certification, in addition to receiving the prestigious Performance Certificate. Major teachers have included Carol Rodland, Jeffrey Irvine, and Stephen Sims among others. Ms. Goldman is a first year master of music student at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of Roger Tapping. Violist Yitong Guo was born in China. He has appeared as a soloist at National Centre for the Performing Arts in China, Beijing Concert Hall, Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing and National Arts Centre in Canada. He was invited to perform on the classical music program From the Top, produced by NPR. Mr. Guo is a passionate chamber musician and has collaborated with Mischa Maisky, Christopher O’Reily, Kurt Sassmannshaus, and the American String Quartet. After winning First Prize at the 8th Great Wall International Music Academy Concerto Competition, Mr. Guo had the honor of performing for the German Ambassador to China. He has received chamber music instruction from Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet), Kazuhide Isomura (Tokyo String Quartet), and Samuel Rhodes (Juilliard String Quartet) and has performed in master classes for Kim Kashkashian, Thomas Riebl, Roberto Díaz, Hsin-Yun Huang, and Matthias Buchholz among others. Mr. Guo graduated from the middle school affiliated with the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with first class honors in 2012. He is currently pursuing his bachelor of music on full scholarship at Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman. Korean violinist Jiye Lee has performed solo, chamber, and orchestra concerts with Seoul Chamber Orchestra, Wiener-Concert-Verein, Kammerorchestra Der Winer Symponiker, KNUA Symphony Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Ensemble Kanazawa, MSM Chamber Sinfonia, Ditto Ensemble and more. She has performed in numerous venues such as YoungSan Arts Hall, KumHo Arts Hall, KEPCO Arts Center, KNUA Hall, Korean War Memorial Hall, Seoul Arts Center, Guro Arts Theater, DaeJeon Arts Center, BMW LOUNGE in Korea, Promise Theater, NV Hall and others in New York and New Jersey. She has appeared at music festivals and in master classes including Casalmaggiore International Festival in Italy, San Francisco International Summer Music Festival, Seoul International Violin Festival and Great Mountain Music Festival in Korea, and Ishikawa Music Academy and YBP Music Academy in Japan under professors and musicians such as Miriam Fried, Stefan Milenkovich, Victor Danchenko, Stephan Picard, Koichiro Harada, Mihaela Martin and more. She was a Silver Prize winner at the National Music Competition of Youth Korea Times Inc., First Place winner at the National Competition of Music Journal Inc., First Prize winner at the Seoul Baroque Competition, Second Place winner of Dong-A Music Competition, Silver Prize winner of KBS &
KEPCO Music Competition in Korea, Finalist of the Henry Marteau Violin Competition in Germany, prize winner of The Lillian Fuchs Competition in USA, and received the Music Award from IMA (Ishikawa Music Academy) in Japan. Ms. Lee graduated early from Seoul Arts High School in Korea as an honor student and studied at the Pre-College Division of Korea National University of Arts. At Korea National University of Arts, she received a bachelor of music degree, an artist diploma and completed an Advanced Orchestra Course for specialization in violin performance in the graduate division. She continued her education at Manhattan School of Music, where she received a master of music degree. She has studied with NamYun Kim, Yoo Kyung Min and Dong Hyun Kim and is currently a professional studies student at Manhattan School of Music under Lucie Robert. Clarinetist Taylor Marino resides in New York City and maintains an active performing and teaching career. Mr. Marino has been a member of the New York String Orchestra Seminar for two years, giving performances at Carnegie Hall. He has participated in numerous summer music festivals, including two appearances at the Music Academy of the West as a performer and teaching fellow, and other appearances at Brevard Music Center, Montecito Chamber Festival, Eastern Music Festival and Interlochen Arts Camp. Mr. Marino is a finalist for the New World Symphony in Miami and a substitute for Symphony in C in New Jersey. At Brevard, Mr. Marino was a winner of the Jan Beattie concerto competition, performing the Nielsen Clarinet Concerto with the faculty orchestra. He was also awarded the Lusik-Gorlick scholarship by the Charlotte Symphony and was a merit winner for YoungArts. Mr. Marino was the grand prize winner of the 2009 Young Artists’ Competition at the Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium. In 2014 he was named the grand prize winner of the Vandoren Emerging Artist competition, for which he received a trip to Paris and performed the première of a newly commissioned work by Eric Mandat in Chicago. Also in 2014, Ricardo Morales awarded him grand prize of The Artist Works Classical Campus scholarship. He is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy where he was awarded the Fine Arts award and is currently in his fourth year at the Manhattan School of Music studying with Mark Nuccio. Tian Qiu was born in China and began his violin studies at the age of 5. He was selected for “Morningside Music Bridge” twice, and has traveled to Canada and Poland for music exchange. He was selected by The Central Conservatory to Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in Japan for the arts and culture exchange program. At age 12, he studied at the Music School attached to the Central Conservatory in China. He is currently a student at the Manhattan School of Music with a full scholarship. Violist Yingshuang Tong performed at the opening ceremony of Beijing International Baroque Music Festival in April 2013 and has also played at National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing and Beijing Concert Hall. In August 2012, she won the Silver Award in the First International String Music Competition. She finished her undergraduate studies at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Ms. Tong is a first year master of music student at Manhattan School of Music where she studies with Karen Ritscher.
Oboist Alexander Vvedenskiy has performed numerous concerts in major halls of Moscow (Russia), Copenhagen (Denmark), Stockholm (Sweden), Paris (France), Vilnius (Lithuania), Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic), Washington D.C. (USA), Baku (Azerbaijan), and Minsk (Belarus). He has collaborated with conductors and musicians such as Dmitry Orlov, Alexander Petuhov, Vladimir Spivakov, Alexander Rudin, Misha Rakhlevsky, and Mstislav Rostropovich. As a soloist Mr. Vvedenskiy has appeared with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, Ulyanovsk Philharmonic Orchestra, “Musica Viva” Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra, with whom he participated in a live recording session. Mr. Vvedenskiy was awarded top prizes at competitions such as the Rotary International Competition (2003), Nutcracker International Television Contest for Young Musicians in Moscow (2005), Grand Prize and a special Mozart Wunderkind prize at the Vienna Classic International Competition in 2007, Second Prize in the 42nd International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Prague (2008) and won the Philadelphia Orchestra Greenfield Competition (2011). Hélène Werner is a cellist and pianist born and raised in Montana. As part of the Werner Chamber Quartet with her three siblings, Ms. Werner has been enthusiastically received in concert halls at home and abroad, including Montana State University’s Guest Artist Series, the Music Guild Concert Series in Los Angeles, the Congress of Luthiers in France, the Provincehuis in Groningen, Holland, the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts, on NPR’s From the Top, and at Harvard, The Juilliard School, and Weill Recital Hall. The Werner Chamber Quartet has continually shared its music in support of community organizations, such as Arts without Boundaries, the Rescue Mission for the Homeless, the Wyoming Girls School, Shakespeare in the Parks, and the Children’s Shelter. Ms. Werner is also very committed to encouraging opportunities for young musicians, and has worked with children in public and rural schools across the United States and in Europe. She has participated in master classes with Michel Strauss, Julius Berger, Bernard Greenhouse, Lluis Claret, Laszlo Varga, Steve Doane, Ralph Kirshbaum, Andrés Díaz, Robert Mealy, Martin Katz, Lera Auerbach, and members of the Pacifica, Biava, St. Lawrence, and Fine Arts Quartet, among others. She has studied cello with Richard Aaron, Hans Jorgen Jensen, and Natasha Brofsky, and is a distinguished graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music piano program. Ms. Werner holds degrees from Yale and the University of Michigan. She is currently in her first year of the doctoral program at The Juilliard School.
