CESAR announces 600,000th protected machine
CESAR announced its 600,000th protected machine at the UK’s premier plant machinery show, Plantworx.
Suneeta Johal (far left), CEO of show host the Construction Equipment Association, was on hand to present a symbolic CESAR ID plate numbered 600,000 to MANITOU.
Receiving the award were (second left to right), Manitou’s Sales Director Peter Smyth, Product Manager David Clark, Managing Director Mark Ormond and Marketing Manager Chloe Tapp.
Mark Ormond said: “We have been supporters of the CESAR Scheme since its inception and recognise its part in reducing theft. We are delighted to be the manufacturer of the machine which has reached this incredible milestone and will continue to support CESAR.”
CESAR’s offering was strengthened by the addition of CESAR ECV which allows quick and easy confirmation of a machine’s emissions status. More recently the introduction of the next generation of Ultra High-Frequency RFID transponder means that in the market today there really is no competition to CESAR.
Kevin Howells, Managing Director of DATATAG ID, the technology partner to the CESAR Scheme said: “I want to thank MANITOU for their continued support of the CESAR Scheme, they were one of the first to recognise the benefit to their customers and continue to be an ambassador for the scheme.
“CESAR ECV has been a real boost to the value of the scheme and is mandated on so many major infrastructure schemes here in the UK. Our next-generation UHF transponders, unique in their security features, are the latest innovation that keeps the CESAR Scheme and its DATATAG technology ahead of any competitors.”
