ATLANTIC CITY ANNUAL RECAP

Wow, the Atlantic City CHAMPS Trade Show just gets better and better every year. Heading to the Northeast is always a fun pilgrimage. The beautiful Jersey Shore, home to some amazing history, from the Miss America Pagent to the historic Wooden Boardwalk, oozes with that old-school feeling.

The show kicked off with one of the best local celebrities you could ask for, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr., who came to give CHAMPS an Award and Open the show on Day one. CHAMPS was honored to have him take time out of his busy schedule to spend some time with us.

CHAMPS brings the best vendors from around the country to refill their stores after the 4:20 Holiday. CHAMPS Trade Show does its best to help them pay for some extra inventory by giving six different shops $1000 extra cash to spend. Two were chosen from the day's attendees each day.

On day one, the winners were: Remedies Smoke Shop, Ohio & Smoke Shop of Crestmark, Georgia

On day two, the winners were: Flying Arrows Smoke Shop, NY Basics & Smoke Shop, NJ

On the last and final day, Rainbow Smoke Shop in NJ and Metuchen Smoke Shop also in Nj, Won.

They weren’t the only winners. CHAMPS Glass Games sent 16 glass blowers home with some extra cash to spend. They had four exciting games going on. The first-place winner in each category will head to the Masters for a chance at the big $20,000 prize.

1. Heady Onie, SELF EXPLANATORY?

Coined in 1999, the term onie has become synonymous with one-hit pipes.

Jersey means something different to everyone, and that's what I took from this one!

3. Perfect FUNction: Make whatever kind of pipe you can make - a panel of expert smokers will test it for best function. I always want to be on the secret “Panel” testing how Fun the FUNction is and, of course, getting obscenely buzzed.

4. Amalgamation Station: amalgamates ten parts with ground joints that can be put together in many formations. I wanted to play with them like erector sets: what fits what and what looks so wild. What does each do? Such a fun and interactive way to make pipes into art!

The first-place winners will be at next year's Masters! They will compete for over $60,000 in Cash and prizes, with $20,000 going to the winner with all the bragging rights.

In the end, the Vendors won, too! They won the trust and admiration of all the great new customers who attended the show. This was by far the best-attended CHAMPS Atlantic City.

As always, we thank all the great people who attended CHAMPS AC.
