The spatial strategy was to turn the office into a giant "theater", coordinating the relationship between presentation and viewing. The design uses different staging elements as the design language: all the spaces that need to be displayed and public are set as a huge "stage" which is interspersed in the center of the space; all the office spaces are used as "backstage" for quiet and privacy; the office spaces are connected by a "catwalk bridge". The office spaces are connected to the different departments by a "catwalk bridge"; at the same time, "stage curtains" of different transparency and acoustics are used as partitions in the space. The design creates a connected, collaborative, performative and creative office space.

Introduction

"ideation and repersentation" is a course designed to instruct students on how to use 3D software as a generative and expressive tool to aid the design process. After generating a 16-word conceptual model using Rhino software, it was imported into revit for reorganization, followed by learning and investigating the OFFICE KGDVS output style for personal expression.

The project started with the word "growth" to evolve the design language and eventually the design evolved into an underground plant park. Different floor settings allow people to dive deeper and deeper underground while gradually moving from an active state to a solitary, meditative state. The rhythm of the root system will take place underground as people run, plant, sketch and rest in the soil.
