As you read this, our camp team is excited to plan fun, enriching, and safe adventures for children to discover who they are and what they can achieve!

At Y Camp, the possibilities are endless! Y Summer Camps provide children and teens with supervised activities that cultivate values, develop skills, nurture relationships, and actively explore children’s imagination.

Financial Assistance is available to those who qualify. Applications are available at the front desk or online at ciymca.org/financial-assistance. The deadline to apply is May 22.

HOURS & LOCATION

Several camps this summer will be located at our CAMARILLO FAMILY YMCA HIJI CENTER. However, we are working on an offsite location to house the majority of camps. Please check back in spring for more information. Our camp runs from 9am - 4pm Monday through Friday.

EXTENDED CARE

AM extended care is available from 7am - 9am, and PM extended care is available from 4pm - 6pm for an additional $25 per week.

DAY CAMPS

CUBS CAMP

Ages: 3 - 4 Fee: $205/week

Campers will be introduced to day camp in a smaller group setting. Campers will draw, build, and paint. Campers will engage in sports, social learning, and cooperative games all while having fun.

TROOPERS CAMP

Ages: 4.5 - 7 Fee: $230/week or $205/3 days

Campers will visit our enrichment camps for activities in arts and crafts, sports games, and educational literacy. This camp also includes an offsite field trip every other week and water days every week. This camp is sure to make memories to last a lifetime.

RANGERS CAMP

Ages: 7 - 9 Fee: $230/week or $205/3 days

Our ranger camp provides endless opportunities for fun! Rangers will enjoy group activities, allowing them to develop valuable skills and lifelong friendships! Campers will participate in water days, outdoor sports, bi-weekly field trips, and work together with unique STEAM activities.

LEGENDS CAMP

Ages: 9 - 11

Fee: $230/week or $205/3 days

Give your camper an opportunity to build skills and values through activities that build peer relationships. Campers will participate in water days, team building activities, sports, wheels day, and bi-weekly field trips.

JUST TEEN CAMP

Ages: 11 - 14

Fee: $240/week

Our goal is for teens to learn the value of teamwork, gain new skills, and develop decision-making and conflict-resolution skills while discovering more about themselves through interactive field trips and themed activities.

LEADERS IN TRAINING

Ages: 13 - 16

Fee: $110/week

The Leaders in Training Program is designed to give youth an opportunity to support YMCA Camp programs. Participants must complete an interview process and be selected to take part in this learning experience. Participants will assist counselors in daily duties, complete service-learning projects, and organize and help run camp events. Participants will receive volunteer hours for their time spent in the program.

Each participant must attend a LIT training the week of June 17-21 to participate in the summer program.

SPORTS CAMPS

ADVENTURE CAMP

Ages: 5-7 Fee: $450/week

Spark your excitement in a week of adventurous activities! Leap into the adventure with Jumpin Jammin, hit the sand for a beach day, come face to face with wildlife at the Moorpark Zoo, and jump around with friends from the week at Sky Zone. We wrap up the week with a luau at the beach!

BASKETBALL CAMP

Ages: 7-12 Fee: $205/week

Dribble and shoot! Basketball camp teaches young athletes the fundamentals of the game while building their confidence, getting them active, and helping them learn valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership. This camp is designed for all skill levels where every camper learns, improves, and applies their skills to the game.

EXTREME EXCURSION CAMP

Ages 8-12 Fee: $450/week

Embark on a journey of infinite possibilities. Extreme excursion camp will allow campers to embrace their adventurous side. Kick off the week wind sailing, glide through a day of kayaking, experience triumph while rock climbing, and hit the ramps at the skate park. Wrap up the week with a day of sun and fun at the beach.

FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP

Ages: 7 - 12 Fee: $205/week

Ready, set, hike! This camp introduces the world of flag football. Campers will learn fundamentals, skills, and drills and get involved with team spirit!

SPLISH SPLASH CAMP & SPLASH CAMP

Ages: 4 - 8 Fee: $270/week

CANNONBALL! Y Splash Camp combines the fun of Day Camp with a specialized focus on skills and learning related to aquatic activities. Our campers develop a lifetime of love for the water and an understanding of water safety and responsibility. Every day includes a 25-minute swim lesson as well as free swim for campers to try out their newly learned skills.

STREET HOCKEY CAMP

Ages: 7 - 12 Fee: $ 125/week

Develop your youth hockey player using comprehensive instruction in a controlled and friendly environment, making learning fun. Each day will consist of high-tempo drills encompassing passing, shooting, dekes, and flow drills. Each camp day will end with a scrimmage to test out those skills in game situations.

ENRICHMENT CAMPS

CHEM EXPLORATION

Ages: 8-12

Fee: $250/week

Grab your science goggles as we dive into chemical reactions! Campers will experiment with different chemical reactions from slime creations to exploding fizz concoctions. Campers will have a blast with these handson experiments!

DANCE CAMP

Ages: 5-7

Fee: $250/week

Dance your way into summer fun.  Combine movement and creative expression with seasoned instructors.  Learn choreography to perform at week’s end.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCT CAMP

Ages: 8-12

Fee: $250/week

Children are natural inventors; this camp will allow campers to create projects using their interests and imagination. Using repurposed materials and building supplies, campers will create Pinewood Derby Cars, a floatation device, and a project of their choosing. Campers can construct anything they put their minds to!

ELITE SKETCH ARTISTS CAMP

Ages: 8-12 Fee: $250/week

This camp will dive and drive your camper’s creative touch. Campers will practice canvas painting, character sketches, and more! Campers will gain valuable experience while working with modern subjects to boost their art abilities.

FASHION FUN CAMP

Ages: 5-7 Fee: $250/week

Learn a variety of hand-sewing skills! Sew a pillowcase, create a patchwork pillow, make a beach bag, and practice cross-stitching! Campers will get the opportunity to sew stylish accessories for themselves following a provided theme!

JAM CAMP BY MUSIC FREQS

Ages: 8-12 Fee: $425/week

Rock this way and join us this summer as we partner with Music Freqs for a week of Jam Camp! Campers learn instruments, songwriting, musical activities, and much more! Campers will also get to choose the instrument that would like to play and the song they want to learn. Camp includes a field trip for a behind-the-scenes tour of Music Freqs. A camp concert will be held on Friday for all campers to showcase their talents.

LIGHTS,

CAMERA, ACTION!

Ages: 8-12 Fee: $305/week

Let’s roll the film! Welcome to the world of digital production! This camp will focus on learning various types of video content (challenges and tutorials) that can be shared safely on social media. Campers will collaborate in creating props and backdrops and experience a director’s eye for filmmaking and videography. Campers will also learn editing skills while using Vimeo. com to create and tweak videos.

MINECRAFT LEGO®

Intro: Ages 5-7 Advanced: Ages 8-12 Fee: $305/week

Venture into the world of Minecraft in our unique LEGO® experience. Get ready to build your base, craft your tools, use your Minecraft to harvest raw resources, and battle to stop the Ender Dragon from ending the world. Come explore the endless possibilities of LEGO® with trained Play-Well® instructors.

PAINT BRUSH MAESTROS

Ages: 5-7 Fee: $250/week

Your camper will crate and learn art skills in watercolor, painting, canvas art, and clay.  Campers will use simple art tools to design their original pieces of art.

PAINTING LAB

Ages: 8 - 12 Fee: $150/week

Discover a world of inspiration and creativity.  Artistic expression will be encouraged while campers focus  on a variety of art topics such as drawing, painting, and sculpting! Led by experienced art instructors, campers will learn about some of the most influential artists of the past and present to recreate some of their most famous works of art.

PASSPORT TO ART

Ages: 5-7 Fee: $250/week

Campers get ready for an adventure to travel the world and discover the elements of art! Throughout the week, campers will rotate through multiple art techniques such as drawing, painting,and caly. Campers will learn the history of the art techniques and the cultures that still use them today. Parents be sure to check out the art exhibit on Friday!

ROBOTICS CAMP WITH MAD SCIENCE LA

Ages: 8-12 Fee: $400/week

Introducing a camp for the engineers and builders of the future! This week-long camp will teach campers the fundamental concepts of robotics, as they make basic robots to perform a variety of functions. The lessons taught at Robotics Camp will give your camper a head-start toward being successful in any future technology-based class. It will also help them build a love for science and technology that could guide them into a lifelong passion for STEM.

WILD ABOUT SCIENCE CAMP

Ages: 8-12 Fee: $250/week

Campers take off into a world of exploration through hands-on experiments including volcanos, crystallizations, and soda bottle water launchers! Campers will get wild with science in a week filled with wacky experiments!

YOUTH OVERNIGHT CAMP

July 21 – 26

Youth and Teen Camps

Youth: Ages 9 - 12 Teen: Ages 13 - 17 Fee: $930

In Sleepaway Camp at Lake Sequoia, adventure time is always on. In this program, campers are immersed outdoors, staying in cabins during the night and exploring nature throughout the day. Activities include hiking, sports, crafts, and recreational water activities. Campers will come home with an adventurous spirit and new friends.

CIT Camp

Age 17 Fee: $465

The Counselor in Training Program teaches teens the job skills necessary to be a counselor and strong employee. The camp environment provides a unique opportunity for teens to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting counselors with younger campers. Counselors in Training (CITs) are provided first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge in the away camp setting. CITs are selected through an application and interview process. Space is limited to 10 participants. To apply, interested teens must register online and pay the camp deposit. If the camper is not selected the YMCA will refund the deposit made.

Transportation to Youth Overnight Camp departs from Ventura Family YMCA, 3760 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003. A $150 weekly deposit is required at the time of registration. For more information contact Brian Stevens at Brian.Stevens@ciymca.org.

FAMILY CAMP SEQUOIA

August 3 – 9

Enjoy a week-long adventure for the entire family that promises to be filled with new experiences and fun. Your family will enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, fishing, campfires, paddle boarding, or just reading and relaxing. Price includes six nights lodging, meals, morning kid’s camps, arts and crafts, campfires, YMCA Rag Program, and more. The fees below include a space for four campers.

RV $2,100

Additional Camper $500

We all depart to Family Camp from Santa Barbara Family YMCA, 36 Hitchcock Way, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. A $450 deposit is required at the time of registration.
