At Y Camp, the possibilities are endless! Y Summer Camps provide children and teens with supervised activities that cultivate values, develop skills, nurture relationships, and actively explore children’s imagination.

CAMP INFORMATION

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAMP

To register for camp, visit our website ciymca.org/camp, register and pay online.

CAMP LOCATION

All camps are held at the Santa Barbara YMCA. We have instituted a drive-through drop-off and pick-up procedure where you do not have to get out of your car. The entrance is off Hitchcock Way, just past the Y Facility and the exit is on Hope Ave.

DAY CAMPS

ADVENTURE CAMP

Ages 5-6 OR Entering Grades K-1

Adventure Camp is the perfect place for children ready to make new friends, learn new things, have fun, and be safe. We have specialized instructors for the many age appropriate activities that will be offered to keep your child’s body active and their minds stimulated throughout the summer.

PIONEER CAMP

Ages 6-8 OR Entering Grades 2-3

School-age children enrolled in our Summer Day Camp will not want the summer to end! There will be plenty of time to make new friends, sing, play, explore, learn, and laugh. Pioneer Camp travels to a local field trip.

EXPLORER CAMP

Ages 8-13 OR Entering Grades 4-7

School-age children enrolled in our traditional Summer Day Camp will not want the summer to end! Become an explorer and make new friends while gaining valuable skills.

ENRICHMENT CAMPS

Ages 6 - 12 OR Entering Grades 1 - 6

COOKING CAMP

Do you love to bake, cook, and explore in the kitchen? This is the perfect camp for you. We will make a variety of snacks and foods, giving your child the independence and self-confidence to be more than just a helper in the kitchen.

SCIENCE CAMP

EXPLORING EXPLOSIONS & SLIME

Science Camp will explore chain reactions and fun explosions. Activities include making elephant toothpaste and all kinds of slime. Camp will also include outdoor fun activities and games.

SPORTS CAMPS

BASKETBALL CAMP

Kids practice core basketball skills such as ball handling, defense, offense, rebounding, and shooting. As they develop their athletic talents, children also build character, values, and confidence through teamwork and discipline.

FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP

Flag Football camp emphasizes fun, skill development, and teamwork. The YMCA pairs flag football along with character development, providing the best environment for young athletes to grow and dream big!

SOCCER CAMP

At YMCA Soccer Camp, your child will learn the fundamentals of the sport, including: dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and scrimmage situations. Our instructors emphasize the value of teamwork and sportsmanship in each lesson, inspiring growth while having fun!

SPLASH CAMP

Take a splash with the YMCA with tons of water activities. Splash Camp includes water games, sports, and safety around water. In addition, campers will spend part of their day participating in land-based activities including group games, arts & crafts, and more!

YOUTH OVERNIGHT CAMP

Youth and Teen Camps

Youth: Ages 9 - 12 Teen: Ages 13 - 17 Fee: $930

In Sleepaway Camp at Lake Sequoia, adventure time is always on. In this program, campers are immersed outdoors, staying in cabins during the night and exploring nature throughout the day. Activities include hiking, sports, crafts, and recreational water activities. Campers will come home with an adventurous spirit and new friends.

CIT Camp

Age 17 Fee: $465

The Counselor in Training Program teaches teens the job skills necessary to be a counselor and strong employee. The camp environment provides a unique opportunity for teens to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting counselors with younger campers. Counselors in Training (CITs) are provided first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge in the away camp setting. CITs are selected through an application and interview process. Space is limited to 10 participants. To apply, interested teens must register online and pay the camp deposit. If the camper is not selected the YMCA will refund the deposit made.

Transportation to Youth Overnight Camp departs from Ventura Family YMCA, 3760 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003. A $150 weekly deposit is required at time of registration. For more information contact Brian Stevens at Brian.Stevens@ciymca.org.

FAMILY CAMP SEQUOIA

August 3 – 9

Enjoy a week-long adventure for the entire family that promises to be filled with new experiences and fun. Your family will enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, fishing, campfires, paddle boarding, or just reading and relaxing. Price includes six nights lodging, meals, morning kid’s camps, arts and crafts, campfires, YMCA Rag Program, and more. The fees below include a space for four campers.

Additional Camper $500
