At Y Camp, the possibilities are endless! Y Summer Camps provide children and teens with supervised activities that cultivate values, develop skills, nurture relationships, and actively explore children’s imagination.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAMP

To register for camp, visit our website ciymca.org/camp, register and pay online.

HOURS

All YMCA camps run from 9am to 4pm. AM and PM extended care is available at no extra charge.

DAY CAMPS

RAINBOW CAMP

Ages 4.5-6.5

Located at Poinsettia Elementary School

$230/week

Rainbow Camp is designed for children entering grades T/K-1st. This day camp introduces group skills, friendship-building, and the Day Camp experience. Once a week campers will get to experience an on or off site field trip.

VOYAGER CAMP

Ages 6.5-12 $230/week

Located at Poinsettia Elementary School

Voyager Camp is for children that are in the grades 2nd-6th grade. This traditional day camp will allow campers to experience activities that will help them learn, grow, and create memories with new friends. Once a week campers will get to experience an on or off site field trip.

SPLASH CAMP

Located at Ventura Family YMCA

Ages 6-12

$250/week

Campers will participate in a fundamental swim lesson, learn water safety, and will have time to free swim. Swim attire is required every day. In the beginning of each day, the children will be participating in water and day camp activities. After lunch, the campers will head to the pool for their swim lessons and will get free swim each day. At the end of the week, your child will receive a certificate of achievement that states your child’s swim level if you wish to continue swimming lessons at the Y.

$250/week

Campers will participate in morning and afternoon fundamentals and drills including soccer, basketball, flag football, and other sports-related games and scrimmages.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Ages 7-12

$250/week

Located at Ventura Family YMCA

Spike your way through camp! Campers will practice basic drills that will teach them the fundamentals of volleyball such as serving, setting, passing, and blocking. Each day they will put their skills to the test in daily games and scrimmages.

ENRICHMENT CAMPS

ART EXPLORATION

Ages 7-12

Located at Elmhurst Elementary School

$250/week

Campers will learn fundamentals of wide varieties of artistic styles. These styles include painting, drawing, sculpting, and building. On Friday, parents will be invited to see an art gallery of their child’s artwork from the week.

FOODIE FUN-DAMENTALS

Ages 7-12

$250/week

Located at Elmhurst Elementary School

Your chef will have a chance to explore cooking fundamentals and learn a variety of cooking skills in a hands-on environment. They will learn healthy eating habits, following recipes, and navigate kitchen safety. Chefs will make their snack and lunch each day.

PHOTO EXPO

Ages 7-12

Located at Elmhurst Elementary School

$250/week

This summer camp teaches kids the basic elements of photography to take better photos and develop their skills. They will learn about settings on cameras and how to set up great shots no matter where they are. In this camp, they will explore all kinds of photography and get a chance to dip their toes in different areas of the art to learn what they like best. On Friday, parents are invited to see a gallery of their child’s work from the week.

POKÉMON LEGO ENGINEERS

Ages 7-12

$285/week

Located at Elmhurst Elementary School

Power up your engineering skills in a race to be crowned the ultimate Pokémon Champion. This week your child will learn to build their favorite Pokémon. Campers will teach their Pokémon special moves to help them level up, evolve them into versions that are more powerful, and come face to face with the current champion in an epic battle for the title!

YOUTH OVERNIGHT CAMP

Youth and Teen Camps

Youth: Ages 9 - 12 Teen: Ages 13 - 17

Fee: $930

In Sleepaway Camp at Lake Sequoia, adventure time is always on. In this program, campers are immersed outdoors, staying in cabins during the night and exploring nature throughout the day. Activities include hiking, sports, crafts, and recreational water activities. Campers will come home with an adventurous spirit and new friends.

CIT Camp Age 17

Fee: $465

The Counselor in Training Program teaches teens the job skills necessary to be a counselor and strong employee. The camp environment provides a unique opportunity for teens to build leadership skills, particularly in assisting counselors with younger campers. Counselors in Training (CITs) are provided first-hand experience working with campers and the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge in the away camp setting. CITs are selected through an application and interview process. Space is limited to 10 participants. To apply, interested teens must register online and pay the camp deposit. If the camper is not selected the YMCA will refund the deposit made.

Transportation to Youth Overnight Camp departs from Ventura Family YMCA, 3760 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93003. A $150 weekly deposit is required at time of registration. For more information contact Brian Stevens at Brian.Stevens@ciymca.org.

FAMILY CAMP SEQUOIA

August 3 – 9

Enjoy a week-long adventure for the entire family that promises to be filled with new experiences and fun. Your family will enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, fishing, campfires, paddle boarding, or just reading and relaxing. Price includes six nights lodging, meals, morning kid’s camps, arts and crafts, campfires, YMCA Rag Program, and more. The fees below include a space for four campers.

We all depart to Family Camp from Santa Barbara Family YMCA, 36 Hitchcock Way, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. A $450 deposit is required at time of registration. For more information contact Gus Rendon at Gus.Rendon@ciymca.org or Madison Zelenski at Madison.Zelenski@ciymca.org.
