Muth Reading and Learning Center, Reeves Hall, Room 1 CES faculty and staff will present the Literacy Tutoring Program, show a film about the center and answer questions about the reading center and its impact in the community. The Literacy Tutoring Program teaches reading and writing to approximately 100 culturally and linguistically diverse elementary students each year.

Chapman Columbarium, Fish Interfaith Center The Chapman University Columbarium and Cenotaph, located at the Merle and Marjorie Fish Interfaith Center, is a special, reverent, private and meditative place. This work of art, designed by Susan Narduli to reflect the sky, uses banks of niche spaces covered with beautiful, polished light blue marble that soar 16 feet into the air.

Palm Ave. This early 1900’s factory building offers a funky space for the psychology, marriage & family therapy (MFT) and physical therapy (PT) programs at the Crean School of Health & Life Sciences. It is also home to the Frances Smith Center for Individual and Family Therapy, which serves the mental health needs of Orange County residents regardless of ability to pay. You’ll also find a display of our plans for the new Graduate Health Sciences Campus in Irvine, scheduled to open in fall 2015.

EARLY HUMAN AND LIFESPAN DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH FACILITY
Schmid College of Science and Technology Early Human and Lifespan Development Research Facility, 544 North Cypress St. The Early Human and Lifespan Development Research Facility examines the interplay of biological, psychosocial and behavioral processes in pregnancy and their influence on maternal health, fetal health and early childhood development. The historic 1928 building that houses the facility is the laststanding schoolhouse in California that offered a segregated education to the children of migrant workers, a practice that finally ended in the state in the late 1940’s. Old photos and displays tell the story.
