Get ready to learn all the ins and outs of coding and billing for Cardiology services! Based on comments from cardiology practices, key issues of concern impacting cardiology practices are consultations, mid level providers and supervision rules. Case studies and examples are used throughout class to promote active learning and help you apply this new information. Update and review of coding, billing and supervision rules for diagnostic testing of EKG, Echo, stress/stress echo, Cardiodynamics/Bio Z, Cardionet and similar product issues, location issues, TEE, high end testing via the Internet and by phone, cardiac echo doppler documentation requirements and new drugs and biologicals

Continue update and review of coding and billing for key services such as heart catheterization, cardiac perfusion imaging and nuclear stress testing, multiple interventions per day, electrophysiology testing, plus intervention issues with CMS changes in new coverage decisions

3:00 – 3:30 pm

Final Q&A covering highlights and key issues discussed during the meeting, denials, payer issues and open discussion to ensure all urgent issues and your specific questions are answered
