232010IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Model:PERF1000 • Read all instructions, product labels and warnings before using the pizza maker. • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. The temperature of the outer surface maybe high when the pizza maker is operating. • Always use appliance mitts when handling hot materials, and allow metal parts to cool before cleaning. Allow the unit to cool thoroughly before putting on or taking off parts, Always use the handles when moving the unit. • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts. Note: Make sure the unit is turned off before unplugging. • To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids. • Close supervision is always necessary when this or any appliance is used near children. This appliance is not for use by children. • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment. • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries. • Do not store any materials, other than manufacturer’s recommended accessories in this unit when not in use. • Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes. Do not use this appliance for other than intended use. • Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. • Do not place the appliance near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated appliance.

• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids. • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet. • Do not use appliance for other than intended use. • A fire may occur if the unit is covered or touching flammable materials, including curtains, draperies, wall, etc. When in operation, do not store any items on top of the appliance when in operation. • Do not place any flammable materials in unit, such as paper, cardboard, plastic or any materials that may catch fire or melt. • Over size foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in the pizza maker as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock. • Do not cover unit or any part of the pizza maker with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the appliance. • Bread may burn. Therefore the appliance must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. They must be watched. • Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may create a fire or risk of electrical shock. • When broiling, use extreme caution when removing tray or disposing of hot grease. • Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off of the pad and touch electrical parts involving a risk of electrical shock. • This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD and INDOOR USE ONLY. • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. Caution, hot surface. The temperature of accessible surface may be high when the appliance is operating.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualiďŹ ed electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Before Using Pizza maker Before using your Pizza maker for the ďŹ rst time Be sure to: 1. Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and the TIMER switch is in the OFF position. 2. Remove all pans and watch them in hot sudsy water. 3. Thoroughly dry all accessories and re-assemble in unit. Plug appliance into outlet and you are ready to use your new pizza maker. 4. After re-assembling your pizza maker, we recommend that you run it at the Dual position for approximately 3 minutes to eliminate any packing oil that may remain after shipping.

Power Cord Information A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercises in their use. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: 1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; 2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type 3-wire cord; and 3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally

20-minute timer with AUTO OFF Timer can be set for up to 20 minutes and will automatically turn the appliance OFF when your set the expired. NOTE: the timer must be set(from 1-20 minutes) to begin heating the appliance.

How to use your Pizza Maker Before you use the Pizza maker for the first time. Separate the baking pan, wash it in mild and warm soap water, then rinse and dry well. The max. quantity of the pizza oven is 2.5kg! Do not exceed the quantities of food inside the oven! How To use the Timer 1) Turn the timer dial to the desired time for the food being cooked (up to 20 minutes). A bell will signal the time has expired. 2) When finished, turn the subsection switch dial to “OFF”. Unnecessary to preheat the appliance before using. Lower Heating 1. Open the pizza maker and Put the pizza on the baking pan. 2. Turn the subsection switch knob to “ Lower ” 3. Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. 4. When finished, the timer will bell ring and turn the subsection switch knob to “OFF” FULL Heating 1. Open the pizza maker and Put the pizza on the baking pan. 2. Turn the subsection switch knob to “ Dual ” 3. Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. 4. When finished, the timer will bell ring and turn the subsection switch knob to “OFF”. 7


Upper Heating 1. Open the pizza maker and Put the pizza on the baking pan. 2. Turn the subsection switch knob to “ Upper ” 3. Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. 4. When finished, the timer will bell ring and turn the subsection switch knob to “OFF”. DUAL: OPERATES BOTH LOWER AND UPPER HEAT ELEMENTS UPPER: OPERATES ONLY THE UPPER ELEMENT FOR COOKING THE TOPPING OF THE PIZZA. LOWER: OPERATES ONLY LOWER ELEMENT FOR COOKING THE BASE OF THE PIZZA.

Cleaning the Pizza Maker

Before cleaning Pizza Maker and the Pizza pan, unplug it and allow it to cool. • All the accessory parts can be cleaned in water. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners. Do not wipe the heating element. Do not scratch the protective layer of the baking sheet. • Crumbs or other remnants on the base of the unit can be removed by taking out the base sheet. • Clean the enclosure with a damp cloth. Dry it thoroughly before using. • Abrasive cleaners, scrubbing brushes and chemical cleaners will damage the non-stick coating on this unit! • Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

After the warranty

Once the warranty has expired, repairs can be carried out by specialized technicians or repair services against the payment of the service.

This product must not be disposed together with the domestic waste. This product has to be disposed at an authorized place for recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. SUGGESTED COOKING TIMES GUIDE The pizza oven features a 20 minute timer and a Heat Control Switch with three heat element settings. The guide below outlines how to achieve the best results for a variety of pizza bases. PIZZA BASE TYPE Frozen pizza Base

TIPS: • Avoid overloading pizza or pilling pizza toppings to high as it may cause pizza to burn/smoke against the top heat elament. This may also create a fire risk. • If your pizza is heavy in toppings, it may require additional top heat. These times are only a guide. You may find the times are not suitable for your personal taste. You may like to experiment with different cooking times and heat element settings until you are satisfied with the results.

RECIPES Pizza Base Makes eight 7oz dough balls

Ingredients: 2.2 lb

Strong baker’s flour (i.e. plain flour with the highest protein level available)

0.3 oz

Salt

0.3 oz

Sugar

0.7 oz

Dry yeast or 1.4 oz Fresh yeast

22.3fl oz Cold water

Method 1.

The dough can be mixed in a large bowl or directly on the beach top. Start by mixing all the dry ingredients together and creating a well in the centre.

Carefully pour 20.3fl oz of water into the well and gradually incorporate the wet and dry ingredients by gently moving the water and flour mixture. It will take 3-4 minutes for the dough to come together.

The remaining 1.7fl oz - 2fl oz of water is only added if necessary.

4.

Knead dough for 10 minutes or until a smooth ball dough is achieved.

5.

Divide the pizza dough into 8 even parts or weigh it into eight 7 oz sizes.

6.

Create round balls of dough by using the palms of your hand to cup the dough.

Cover them with a tea towel and allow them to rest under there for 10 - 15 minutes.

Roll your dough ball to desired pizza shape and place on the Pizza Oven pizza tray, ensure that it is no bigger then 9 inches in diameter.

SAVOURY PIZZA Greek Lamb Savoury Pizza 3.2 oz 7 oz

Mozzarella, grated Basic Pizza Dough ball, rolled and ready 3.9 oz Lamb, oven roasted with lemon and rosemary, and sliced 1.02 oz Feta, diced 0.7 oz Kalamata olives, pitted and halved 2 tbs Caramelised Onions 3 Lemon wedges 2 tbs Tzatziki Dip ½ tsp Rosemary Cracked black pepper

Method: 1. Spread mozzarella around pizza base, with more at the outer edges than the centre. 2. Place diced roasted lamb evenly around the pizza and follow with the crumbled feta and Kalamata olives. Add a layer of Caramelised Onions which will protect the lamb from overcooking. 3. Cook in your Pizza Oven. 4. Remove from the oven and cut into slices. 5. Drizzle Tzatziki Dip over the pizza and garnish with chopped rosemary. Serve with lemon wedges and suggest that your guest squeeze a little lemon juice on each slice before they start munching.

DESSERT PIZZA Apple Strudel Dessert Pizza 7 oz

½ cup

Basic Pizza Dough balls, rolled and ready Custard SEE BELOW Sultanas Apples, poached or steamed, cooled and then sliced Icing sugar, for dusting Cinnamon, for dusting Fresh cream, whipped

Custard 1 tbs 1 tbs 4.2fl oz ½ tsp

Custard powder Caster sugar Milk Vanilla bean paste

2 tbs 2 oz 7 oz

Custard Method 1. Whisk the custard powder and sugar with milk in a small bowl and then transfer to a heavy based saucepan. 2. Place on low heat and stir until the custard starts to boil and thicken. Remove from the heat and then add the vanilla bean paste. 3. Pour into a bowl and allow custard to cool completely before spreading on the pizza base. The custard can be made in advance, placed in a sealed container and stored in the fridge for up to 7 days. 13

Pizza Method 1. Spread Custard evenly on the pizza base and sprinkle with the sultanas. Place the slice of cooled apple evenly over the pizza. 2. Cook in your Pizza Oven. 3. Remove from oven and cut into 8 slices. Dust with Icing sugar and cinnamon and place a dollop cream on each slice before serving.
