Craig Shields Ar$st Research/Anaylsis

Craig shields is an Illustra0on Ar0st. His Illustra0on below was commissioned by Coca Cola for Sprite. ”I pre>y much had complete freedom on the direc0on of the image, but the overall theme was based around being refreshed.” I choose these design because I like the concept, and aspects of having one final design but then then the different aspects of that one design, worked well as separate design ideas. His work is non pixilated and very sharp, par0cularly when zoomed into certain parts of his work. The colors combine and work well with the combina0on and idea of refreshments.



I also choose the above design ‘Come Alive’ because, I like Craig Shields use of contras0ng color's in comparison to the other design I choose of his which uses complementary colors. This design known as ‘Come Alive’ is steeped in reflec0on as it follows on from the work produced in his piece ‘temple’ to mourn, celebrate and reflect on the core concepts ar0s0cally examined in the piece of work. If I could produce a design with influen0al stylis0c influences from Craig Shields, I would like too. I feel his work appeals to me as a young person, and it reflects they way in which I like to work, with colors, and abstrac0onism. I think to further my designs incorporate influences from Craig Shield’s I will produce work based on backgrounds on abstrac0onism.
