Charles Reed Cagle leverages his extensive expertise as a consultant for energy and oil companies, focusing on enhancing operations and adopting innovative techniques such as horizontal drilling. Born in 1962 and raised in Clarksville, Texas, he has maintained strong ties to his home state despite extensive travels. He and his wife, Donna, have been married for over 30 years, and together they raised their son. The family resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from 1999 until their return to Plano, Texas, in 2017, where they currently live. Cagle's career began in 1986 at Kinlaw Oil Corporation, where he started as an associate. His enthusiasm for the industry propelled him through various roles, culminating in significant positions within the company over a ten-year tenure. In 1996, he departed Kinlaw to establish his own business in Dallas, founding Heartland Energy Inc. in 1997, which later became known as HEI. As president and CEO, he collaborated with various industry professionals to spearhead exploration ventures in oil, gas, and minerals. His foray into drilling services began in 2006 with a partnership in Midcontinent Drilling, where he founded and developed a 2000 horsepower drilling rig. In 2011, Cagle expanded his ventures into the mining industry in the U.S. and South America, starting with a gold mining concession in Oregon that produced over 89,000 ounces of gold. He also engaged in operations at a gold and copper processing facility in Copiapó, Chile, where he introduced a proprietary process that efficiently neutralized and separated toxic substances from precious metals. This innovation not only marked a significant advancement in the field but also held potential for global application in mining safety and efficiency.
