The brainchild of Andrea and Jeff; nerds, travel enthusiasts, style aficionados, best friends, and partners in both business, shenanigans, and life in general. This idea came to us on a trip through the Balkans in the fall of 2015, while wandering along the coastal hills of a seaside village on a tiny Croatian Island in the Adriatic Sea. Everywhere you walked there was an array of fruit trees, flowers, and herb bushes; the aromas were absolutely intoxicating. Bergamots, lemons, limes, pomegranates, oranges, and grapefruit. Herbaceous rosemary, oregano, mint, thyme, and sage. And let's not forget your stereotypical Mediterranean fare: grapes, and olives. All of this produces one hell of a recipe for success! A few days later we were walking out of our homestay in Dubrovnik when we were greeted with the same pleasing aromas and we thought… why can’t we bottle this smell? Oh wait, we can! Our love for candles, travel, and all things tasty and aromatic spawned this grande idea to launch a candle company with nostalgia at the heart of our ethos. Why couldn’t we replicate this very feeling from a number of different experiences? We started this venture with one goal in mind: to provide candles that are elegantly crafted, décor-inspired, distinctively fragrant, with the central thesis of creating an air of nostalgia. Maybe you long for the French Riviera (that’s us) or the beaches of Thailand, the vineyards of Italy or the streets of Paris. Or perhaps its your favourite café, floral shop, greenhouse, or your mahogany-draped, leather-wrapped, rum- and cigar-soaked study -at your Dad's. Maybe it's the garden, or grandma's kitchen! Whatever you desire, we aim to transport you there through our olfactory experience. Recently this passion for fragrance has broadened our horizons into a passion for clean living and overall self-care, which launched the Skin + Bath side of our brand. We are the CEOs, the frangrance engineers, the mixologists, the production crew, shipping/receiving, the salesfolk, the marketing team, and the janitors. Our French Bulldogs, Charleston and Harlow, are merely the company mascots/namesakes yet somehow they get all the glory. All of our candles are consciously crafted by hand in our studio in Brandon, Manitoba with the hopes of someday adorning your mantles, bath ledges, offices, and travel bags.

Not just candles anymore! We’ve expanded on our philosphies to bring you a clean beauty and self-care line for everyday use. We aim to provide a healthy mix of luxury and whimsy, so as to remove the stuffiness that is typical of true luxury products. People of all walks of life want nice things, and we look to fill that niche in the middle. We also pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking, ecologically-conscious company producing a green product, but without seeming green on the outside. Green doesn’t have to look or feel granola.

All of our Skin + Bath products are produced in small batches and hand-poured, using only the finest ingredients this Earth has produced. Nothing is scented for the sole sake of fragrance, and we use organic wherever we can. Every product has been extensively tested and honed to creatae the most impactful recipe. No filler oils are used to dilute a blend or reduce our costs; we’re solely concerned with good, clean ingredients that serve a purpose. All products are packaged in glass, to reduce the amount of plastic potentially ending up back in the ground someday. At the end of the day you are in this skin for life, so why not take care of it and ensure it’s being fed nothing but gold. With that said, clean beauty and skincare should be accessible to everyone, so we’ve kept the price down for all to benefit and enjoy.

SKIN basics

SKIN BASICS Basic doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t ONLY mean an over-thought latte and selfies over brunch, and our daily skincare ritual lineup sets you up with the tools and roadmap to great looking skin, naturally. All of our skin + bath products are 100% natural, with zero chemicals, fillers, or unnecessary fragrance. Every ingredient has been carefully curated for itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s effectiveness in use, and all essential oils used are purely for their direct benefit. Our Skin Basics line is a 3-step process ideally, but can be tailored to any regimen.

Step 1: CLEANSE Two cleansing oils, NORMAL and FIX, are designed to cleanse and condition the pores, fight bacteria and inflammation, while remaining super gentle. NORMAL is crafted for all skin types, whereas FIX contains ingredients specifically for problematic skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema, with a few different base botanicals to further soothe angry skin. Step 2: TONE Three different botanical toners that work double-duty: can be used as a facial mist to improve your mood or to add a splash of hydration throughout the day, or as a facial toner before moisturizing and makeup. Pure plant power regulates your skin’s pH, is anti-microbial to fend off uglies throughout the day, sets up your pores, and allows the skin to better absorb moisturizer. In addition to the daily cleanse, your skin sometimes demands a little extra, just like you. Whereas you maybe crave champagne and all the doughnuts, your skin demands exfoliation and deeply-penetrating serums. Our natural Extras line will help shed the damage your skin accumulates from harsh weather or whatever punishment we inflict on it, and serums are superfoods for your skin! Consider this the juice cleanse your skin is craving! EXFOLIATING MASKS Four different mineral masks/scrubs, each designed with a unique purpose, and all fully customizable. These dry masks are designed to remove dead cells, polish the skin, impart fruit enzymes deep into the dermis, and improve circulation, which works to repair and rejuvenate skin naturally. All four masks are a dry mask, allowing the end-user the ability to customize their mask/exfoliant to their skinâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s needs. Magnesium Spray We deemed this product MAGIC for good reason! This ancient ocean-bed salt contains a list of minerals not typically seen or experienced by the body, and most of us aren’t aware that the majority of the body’s minor ailments can be attributed to magnesium deficiency! This spray helps with sleep, headaches, aches and pains, restless leg syndrome, and digestive issues. Simply spray it on the afflicted area and within minutes relief arrives. MENS grooming A complete line of men’s grooming products, for those that shave or those who beard. All-natural, purely beneficial, and built for men by men, our grooming line consists of the following five items, as well as 6 scented beard oils. Pre-Shave Oil replaces standard shaving cream or soap, but with thoughtful purpose. This blend of oils prepares the skin, provides moisturizing qualities, removes dirt and grime prior to the blade, and pre-treats bacteria. Wholesale Terms Ordering Minimum Opening Order $300.00. Minimum Reorder: $150. Minimum quantity of each scent or size ordered is 3 or 4 depending on size. See Linesheet for all minimums and tester pricing. Minimums are applied across all brand lines collectively. Payment should be made when order is placed by credit card or Interac Email Transfer, in order to avoid delays in processing and shipment. All orders must be paid in full prior to shipment. Glass Jar shop burners can be ordered at $9.00/jar, and customer scent testers are also available at $4.50/4 oz tin. Shop Burners will be shipped without a display box with the intent of displaying on the shelf or burning behind the counter. Scent Testers will include a scent-name wrap label around the tin on top of the scent story normally included on the bottom of the tin. All other testers will come labeled as such. Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing, though orders are typically shipped within 3-5 days of receiving order and payment.

Shipping All shipments are made by Canada Post Expedited or Fedex. We use the most economical avenue when possible, but can arrange rush shipment if need be for the additional cost upon request. International customers are responsible for all duties, taxes, and/or brokerage fees upon clearing customs. Charleston & Harlow takes no responsibility for any delays at customs. Orders placed locally (within 250kms of Brandon) can be picked up from our studio.

Returns/Exchanges Unfortunately due to the nature of our products we do not offer returns or exchanges, except for products damaged in transit, to which we would file a claim through the carrier. Please see our Damages terms within this section.

Damages Products damaged in transit should be photographed (shipping material included) and reported to Charleston + Harlow within 2 days of receipt of the product. No unauthorized returns will be accepted. The sooner you get us the evidence, the sooner we can get a replacement package out to you!

Wholesale Terms Cancellations Cancelled orders will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, unless cancelled within 24 hours after placing the order.

Territory Protection It is the right of Charleston + Harlow to protect the territory of our authorized retailers. We do not want your market saturated with our candles, for that would make it difficult for each retailer to maintain minimum order and sales levels, and to be happy with the level of sales achieved with our products. In order to be considered for dedicated protected status a retailer must maintain an order level of $1,500 in a 6-month period. We reserve the right to limit or alter the protection zone in growing markets. Stock levels should be maintained in order to prevent outages.

Product Storage Our candles are made of a 100% natural wax and do not contain any UV Inhibitors. Keep out of direct sunlight when displaying. Though prolonged exposure to sunlight will not affect the candle’s performance, it can cause some yellowing of the wax. Remember that candles are made of a natural wax and as such have a melting point of 125-130F. Store in a cool, dry, dark location, and be sure not to display product in direct sunlight or near a heat source to ensure wax doesn’t sweat. Storefronts should ideally be air-conditioned for summer months to protect all of your products, and staff for that matter! They melt too! All Skin + Bath products have a shelf-life indicator on the back label, and most are 12-24 months and beyond.

Account Termination Charleston & Harlow reserves the right to refuse or cancel wholesale rights on any account if we feel our product isn’t being adequately represented by the retailer, or if our brand is being compromised.

Indemnity Charleston & Harlow retains all rights to the packaging, product, and branding of our products at all times. As a retailer it is your responsibility to ensure this isn’t compromised in any fashion. Product must be sold as the Charleston + Harlow brand unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by our wholesale department. Stockist’s shop or location is the only approved location or channel for the resale of our products.

We can provide scent signage and table tents to help with the display and promotion of our candles. Success for you means success for us, so working together means everyone wins!

Public Relations Word of mouth is arguably the best form of advertising for both physical shops and online retailers. We utilize bloggers, stylists, trend-setters, and the publications and sites they frequent to reach out to our clients and fans. We encourage you and your clients to share their style or product photos with both you and us on either facebook, instagram, or via email. It gives your brand exposure, and we love nothing more than to help promote our retailers in return. Everybody scratch a back and keep the advertising dollars where they belong: in our own pockets.

Burn In Store There’s no better way to sell our candles than to burn them. At $9 for shop burners and approximately 55 hours of burn time, a single jar will last weeks if you only burn for 2-3 hours at a time. Light ‘em up, smell up the place, extinguish for a couple hours during the slow, mid-day period, and then spark them back up for the later crowd. How many more candles will you sell if they are not simply displayed but also burning behind the counter? We think substantially more! The small added cost to you will be dwarfed in comparison to the additional units you’ll move as a result!
