Founded in 1984 by Art and Susan Barber, Charleston Forge has always been committed to creating beautiful furniture, built to impeccable standards, and backed up by exemplary customer service. All these years later we’re still family-owned and still committed to those same values.

Each piece of furniture is still built to order, by hand, in our Boone, North Carolina factory. This includes the forging, fabrication, and painting of the steel bases, as well as all of our wood finishing, much of our upholstery manufacturing, and of course, final assembly. Quality control from start to finish. And since all our products are handmade we are able to customize almost anything to fit the specific needs of our customers.

In addition, more than 90% of our vendors are located within 100 miles of Boone. This enables us to ensure the quality of our product as well as helping us avoid some of the unpredictability brought on by recent supply chain issues.

And while we’re known predominantly for our residential furniture, we do extensive work in the contract and hospitality arenas, have our own line of high-end executive conference tables and furniture, and offer a wide range of luxury glass for use as table tops as well as in kitchen, bath, hospitality, and architectural applications.

Charleston Forge manufactures handmade furniture using steel frames, solid wood tops, luxury glass, and bespoke upholstery. We offer dozens of occasional collections in a variety of styles. Drink Tables

A wide variety of styles are represented in the more than 50 drink tables we offer. These range from organic, hand-forged pieces to highly contemporary designs. The looks are as diverse as they are unique.

Top materials and edge styles are almost as varied as the tables themselves. We offer wood tops that range in thickness from ¾” to 2¼” and luxury glass that’s available on some tables up to 2” thick.

We offer more than 50 consoles in a variety of styles and sizes. Most are part of an occasional collection and work just as well when paired with like styles as they do on their own. STARBUCKS

Charleston Forge has been building community tables and a variety of other bespoke products for Starbucks since 2015. The famed coffee company approached Charleston Forge because of our reputation for quality and service, and the fact that all our products are made domestically. Being American made has enabled us to work closely with Starbucks and adjust quickly to evolving designs and new product introductions.

The company specializes in creating highly functional contemporary furniture that emphasizes form and texture with modern functionality. Stoneline serves clients looking to invest in well-built, domestically produced furniture that will stand the test of time. In partnership with Andrew Pearson Custom Glassworks we offer a wide variety of unique, luxury glass products and surfaces for our Charleston Forge furniture line as well as on our custom products. We also supply glass for kitchen and bathroom countertops and backsplashes, in hospitality settings such as bars and restaurants, and for use as vertical room dividers in both residential and commercial environments. These glass products are available in a range of looks, thicknesses, colors, and textures.

Andrew Pearson Glass has decades of experience in glass manufacturing and is well known for its innovative creations and pioneering use of various glass fabrication processes. It also boasts the largest fused glass production capability in the United States.

Sustainability

Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, we are constantly reminded about the importance of nature and protecting the environment around us. To that end:

• We use recycled steel to create our furniture and we recycle all the scrap.

• Nearly all the wood we use for our tops and cabinetry comes from the Appalachian region around us, whose forests are certified by the USDA as growing at a rate of three trees for every one harvested.

• Our forges are all heated using propane, which is cleaner burning and more efficient than natural gas.

• Our powder coat paint system produces less waste and releases far fewer VOCs (volatile organic compounds) than wet paint spray systems.

• Our on-demand packaging system minimizes cardboard waste.

• We’re made in America which means we’re close to our suppliers. In fact more than 90% of our vendors are located within 100 miles of our factory, further reducing our carbon footprint.

• Our glass tops are endlessly recyclable.

• We build furniture that lasts literally for generations. Our products can be repaired, refinished, and even recycled.
