Legislative Success
On July 31, Trident Technical College hosted Youth Apprenticeship Signing Day where 52 incoming Youth Apprenticeship students joined one of the 17 Youth Apprenticeship pathways.
Even in a session filled with uncertainty, our legislators successfully tackled several business community priorities in 2018. The Chamber recognized 22 state legislators with the Champion of Business Award for their efforts this session.

The Charleston Metro is facing a housing attainability crisis. New supply has consistently failed to meet increased demand, driving prices higher and adding strain on families. The Chamber’s Housing Task Force is working to build awareness around our region’s housing needs to ensure every member of our community has attainable housing options.
