Defining tomorrow, today.
Quarterly Report Q4 2017
The Local Area Impact of small business members participated in a Local Area Chamber program in 2017.
It’s simple really… Creating connections and deepening relationships is good for business and it’s good for our region. You, our members, have proven the importance of this through record breaking attendance in 2017.
Many of the connections members made over the course of the year have been driven through the Chamber’s new Local Area Chambers, which launched in March. More than a third of the programs offered by the Chamber have been through Local Area Chambers, providing members unique content and connection points all within 15 to 30 minutes of their office or home. The redesigned delivery of our programming has engaged members in important issues that affect their local community, for instance Metro Chamber West played a large role in the development of the West Ashley Revitalization Plan, while also providing valuable information on regional issues. Paired nicely with these vital programs are Chamber Connects, which have been wildly successful.
“ The best feature of the local design to the Charleston Metro Chamber is that it gives members a choice to leverage the type of programming and events that are best for their business. The design combines elements of a local, ‘Home Town’ chamber with the influence and impact of a nationally recognized regional chamber.” - Michael Mosel, Light Blue Worx

Chamber Connects… Are time for members to meet, deepen relationships and well, have a little fun. But that is also the time where we see business working at its finest level. These engagement opportunities are invaluable for many of our members, meeting a necessary need.
