The purpose of the Lifestyle Committee is to assist the Lifestyle Director and provide a broad range of activities for our 700+ homeowners, and be the voice of the community! The majority of the people that have moved here want an active lifestyle and that is what we are hoping to offer with the many different events we plan on a yearly basis. We focus our planning around the FREE concept: Fitness, Relationships, Education, and Entertainment (FREE).

Each person on the committe has a focus area for every event offered! We hope the community continues to enjoy all that is planned and we are ALWAYS open for suggestions. Again, Lifestyle is the voice of Cresswind PTC!!!

Meet CJ Broome – Lifestyle Chair

CJ graduated from Northern Arizona University and went directly into the management program with Embassy Suites Hotels, back in California! She continued in management throughout her career in the staffing and training industries. Her background has always been in working closely with customers and employees, where she was able to utilize her expertise and balance the financials, business development, employee development, and customer service focus in all business aspects. Building strong teams to have successful results has always been top of her agenda. She has been fortunate to receive many awards over the years. Currently, she enjoys having fun living in CW PTC, and working part-time with no management responsibilities... until she gives it up!

Lifestyle Committee Vision:

For me, it’s pretty simple what I hope to be a part of achieving by being on the Lifestyle Committee–and that is to help make it possible for everyone that lives in Cresswind PTC to have the opportunity to

After college she worked for Eastern Airlines briefly before joining Delta Air Lines as a flight attendant for 28 years. Married to Gary for 22 years, they raised 2 children together, and she was a stepmom to 2 older children. Trish has served in various volunteer capacities. She loves to stay active playing pickleball, attending country music concerts, socializing with her many friends and living in Cresswind!

Personally, we moved here knowing being involved would be the best way to meet people, as well as continue living what has always been an active lifestyle for us. As we grow older, for us, it’s important to be involved, have great friends, and stay healthy.

The Lifestyle Committee was “born” in October 2022! I feel very fortunate to be on the same team with all these other creative/ passionate women who are volunteering their time for the community. They are amazing to work with and I have enjoyed getting to know each of them.

All of the areas the Lifestyle Committee focuses on – Fitness, Relationships, Education, and Entertainment are important and fit directly with what we were looking for. So, I decided to try to be part of the solution by helping to ensure everyone that lives here has the opportunity to be involved in the variety of events offered! At the end of 2023, I’m hoping that is the result as we continue to be the voice for our community!

Lifestyle Committee Vision:

When my husband and I decided to purchase in Cresswind Peachtree City, it was not only for the selection of beautiful homes offered, but also for the available amenities and active adult lifestyle.

Forming this Lifestyle Committee to support the Lifestyle Director was an important step in providing activities best suited for our community. I decided to join this committee because my passion is bringing people together, and my goal was to provide numerous choices of activities to do just that. Our hope is to reach those who, for whatever reason, have not gotten involved yet and to encourage them to enjoy all this community has to offer and start forming new friendships. I colead the Entertainment area of this committee. We have worked hard to create a wide variety of concerts, shows, themed parties, and so much more. I am proud to be a part of this new committee and looking forward to a year full of fun activities and memories in the making!

Lifestyle Committee Vision:

After 45 years of working and raising a family, we look forward to a lifestyle that is a combination of fun social activities, physical fitness, and lifelong learning. The opportunity to serve on our Lifestyle Committee gives me regularly conduct exercise classes at our clubhouse, recreational centers, and churches. My clients are largely age 55+, just like us! Working with this cohort is my passion. I know that we can live long and strong in both quantity and quality of life. chance to contribute my experience in creating fun experiences as well as create a curriculum of interesting and engaging educational topics. As co-chair of the Education subcommittee, we look forward to staging ongoing learning events such as weekly Ted Talks, Neighbor Knowledge Share and Local Community Expert presentations. We would love to hear from you about interesting knowledge and skills that you would be willing to share with your neighbors!

Social interaction and creativity are the keys to longevity. My vision is to always be mindful of inclusiveness when planning events. We are a community of singles and solos and married couples. We have different age groups, physical ability levels, cultural diversity, family and caretaking responsibilities, and we have a wide range of interests. What I love is that Cresswind neighbors show up ready to have fun!

My goal being on this committee is to try to help create and facilitate a perfect balance of activities so all can be involved, have fun, develop friendships and deepen the feeling of “community”.

I am excited about planning a myriad of fun, fitness, and friendly events that will get everyone involved. I recently served on the decorating team for last year’s holiday party, and I am currently involved in the planning of our Super Bowl chili cook-off party. I’m honored and happy to serve on the Lifestyle Committee with this group of passionate and purposeful women dedicated to bringing our residents together to enjoy this phenomenon called LIFE!

Meet Colleen Nickel:

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Colleen graduated from the University of British Columbia. She immigrated to the US in 1985, which led her to writing and editing for television for five years in Los Angeles. Once children started to arrive, a move back to the Pacific Northwest was desired: closer to home and family. She has enjoyed a highly successful career in residential real estate in Seattle, Washington for 28 years; she feels very fortunate. Colleen won awards annually within her company and beyond. She will retire her Seattle real estate team this spring in order to enjoy life more in Peachtree City.

Colleen served as a strong community member in Seattle and was recognized on a national level for her work in the Seattle area schools, where she brought extracurricular enrichment in inventive science and reading programs to south Seattle communities.

She has two sons; one lives in Austin, TX and her eldest lives in Seattle, where she regularly visits her two young grandchildren. She loves living in Georgia and embraces her new PTC friends and lifestyle. She enjoys boasting about the extremely friendly people and SUN in Georgia to her northwest family and friends!

Lifestyle Committee Vision:

In my Seattle real estate career, my mantra was always to be “The Advocate for My Clients’ Best Lives!” I enjoy making people’s dreams come true. I brought this commitment to our community in Cresswind. I knew a 55+ community would be very different from the Seattle cul-de-sac where my sons grew up and could not wait to embrace it: A new journey with exciting possibilities!

I love the creative exchange of new ideas and nurturing them into real, successful programs and events for our community. I especially love these women with whom I work and create! I want to bring solid, engaging programs to Cresswind in order to help our residents stay challenged and inspired to live THEIR best lives!

I know our home equity is as secure as our reputation and what we offer new residents. I want to help build a resourceful community that people will want to reside in. I want to help build it, so they will come!

Meet Peggy Dillie: Peggy was born and raised in Pennsylvania where she earned a degree in fine arts. Following graduation, a career as a flight attendant relocated her to Georgia, where she launched her own side business as a website designer. After flying for a number of years, she went on to work at the public school district as webmaster and system administrator for the online learning program, where she was the recipient of a national quality award. Retiring after 17 years of service, she returned to flying with Delta Air Lines. She gave up her wings last summer and is enjoying retirement with her husband Jack. Together they have four adult children and one granddaughter. They spend their time volunteering, playing pickleball, traveling in their RV, and home projects.

Over the years Peggy has served in a variety of volunteer positions, including webmaster for the Fayette branch of the American Cancer Society’s Annual Cattle Baron Ball, the Atlanta Union Mission, Habitat for Humanity, Girl Scouts, Sunday School leader, and Toys for Tots.

Lifestyle Committee Vision:

When Jack and I moved to Cresswind in 2017, it was the lifestyle that drove our decision, and it is the lifestyle here that continues to fill our need for physical as well as emotional wellness. We also believe it is the lifestyle that draws most of us in. So when it was announced that an initiative was being driven to further enhance the meaning of ‘lifestyle’ within Cresswind and that committees were being formed, I naturally jumped at the chance to be a part.

I see connecting with our neighbors as the foundation to maintaining the warm, welcoming and inclusive vibe of this community past, present and future. By leading the rejuvenation of the Neighbor2Neighbor program (originally formed at the onset of CW in 2017), as well as expanding its outreach – I see an opportunity to put words into action and to actually live my personal mantra: that the secret to happiness is not the material things you possess or the accomplishments you have achieved, but rather the differences you make in the lives of others. I look forward to working with this dynamic group of talented visionaries to continue to make Cresswind great!
