What kinds of things do you see in this artwork? What is the setting? The setting is under a overpass in what look like to be LA, The first things we see are a gang of members in the corner and a isolated person that is looking at them. Also there are bikers in the side of the frame. What words would you use to describe this painting? Urban, Vibrant and Grainy How would you describe the way the artwork is made – materials used? It seems that the artist has taken a photo of the setting and then added characters to it to create a story inside of the image, the artist has also included brushes and unique colors. Is the artwork representational/realistic? The artwork itself does not look realistic however the story made does, seeing gang members under an overpass seems to be a common thing in America How would you describe this artwork to a person who could not see it? The artwork seems strange with a strong message about gang violence How would you describe the people in this picture? Are they like you or different? What age? Clothes? Ethnicity? What are they doing? The people inside this picture look like gang members and are covered in black, they all look to be young adults, they all are wearing baggy clothes and hats giving off the ‘shady’ look. The group of people look like they are planning something towards the man who is on his own or they are about to do a drug deal What can you tell me about the person in this painting? The people set in this picture look like they are gangsters and people that break the law Is the setting crowded or spacious? Why? Although there is a lot of space between the people the setting is in an underpass which makes the scene look cramped and squashed.
