Write to your MP If you don’t know where to start, here are some useful letter templates about the following: UK action against police brutality Justice for Belly Mujinga Include black histories in the national curriculum 2. Donate Black Lives Matter: A global organisation in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centring Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives. Stop Hate UK: one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of Hate Crime and discrimination, based on any aspect of an individual’s identity Runnymede Trust: National think-tank leading the debate on racial inequality Stephen Lawrence Trust: National charity which aims to support young people to transform their lives by overcoming disadvantage and discrimination and moving into ambitious careers as professionals. Black Curriculum: The Black Curriculum is a social enterprise founded in 2019 by young people with the aim of incorporating Black British history into the UK Curriculum. SARI: Stand Against Racism & Inequality (SARI) is a service user/community-oriented agency that provides support and advice to victims of hate, and promotes equality and good relations between people with protected characteristics as defined by law.
