PEGASUS SPYWARE HACKING DATA FROM WHATSAPP, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AND APPLE

Pegasus is a spyware software developed by Israel based NSO firm group and it has upgraded now to access the data on cloud from Whatsapp, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon. All the information stored on the Android as well as iOS devices has now accessed by this NSO group. NSO group from Israel has become the focus of public attention after it has reported by Media that the upgrade of spyware products is used to hack data of various companies such as Whastapp, as well as the data from the device of the owner whether it is Android or iOS. Apart from this, user data from other giant firms such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Amazon servers, a report published by The Financial Times.

However, the claims are rejected by the NSO Group and even they denied any development of such software or technology that is being used to spy data. This NSO group has reported behind the attacks on Whatsapp where it is easy to install the spyware software on any device through a simple Whatsapp call. There is no acceptance from the side of the NSO group to any such direct involvement in Whastapp’s data hacking and they denied all the claims related to spying on data. Later, Whatsapp issued a security fix through an update and it was also believed that the Pegasus spyware software was used to target people who are working for human rights. NSO Group targeted Whatsapp and it has been revealed in May, as per the Forbes.

NSO’s Pegasus accessing cloud info on Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and FacebookIn the article published by the financial times, it was observed that the upgrade version of Pegasus software can easily access as well as harvest data from servers of big tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Most people are using cloud storage to save photos, messages, and all encrypted files and as per this report, all that info could be compromised due to the latest features of Pegasus. The new features can reach the whole data without any intimation through email or any other suspicious warning on their device. If the Pegasus can access the data by breaching two-step verification as activated by most users on their Apple, Google, and Microsoft account, then it has a lot of risks associated and the user might not realize any attack.
