Girls’ Track and Field Finishes as 4A State Champs

THE BUCS SECURED the Girls’ Track and Field top title, finishing as the NCISAA 4A State Champions. They also finished as CISAA Team Champions, the first time since the 1990s, and our boys were CISAA Team Runner-Ups.

Individual State Championships include: Spencer Mermans (Shot Put), Kasey Cone (3200m), Emma Lewis (1600m), Girls’ 4x800m Relay (Shayna Strasser, Ava Goggin, Lily Giardi, Lindsey Kerrins), Girls’ 4x200m Relay (Jada Erwin, Laila Hankerson, Lela McMichael, Mikenna Williams), Girls’ 4x400m Relay (Ava Goggin, Lindsey Kerrins, Emma Lewis, Abby Kerrins).

2nd Place State Individual Runner Ups: Kate Stajos (Discus, Shot Put), Laila Hankerson (Long Jump, 100m, 200m), Abby Kerrins (3200m, 1600m), Lindsey Kerrins (300H).

3rd Place State Individual Runner Ups: Emma Lewis (3200m), Jada Erwin (400m), Abby Kerrins (800m), Matthew Sluder (High Jump), Boys’ 4x800m Relay (Pete Pignetti, Everett Norton, Benjamin Dorsey, Cameron Brown).

The Bucs had six school records set at the NCISAA Division 4A Championships and had four other school records broken in 2023.
