UNITED IN OUR IMPACT
Message from Director of Advancement, Katharine Atkins
EACH YEAR, IT is my joy and honor to celebrate and thank the many members of our community who make Country Day a priority. From our young alumni who participate in our Bucs Together Days of Giving, to members of our community who support our school year after year for decades, the collective impact of philanthropy at Country Day sets our school apart and enables us to remain in the forefront of independent school education in our region and nation.
We are so fortunate to have a strong philanthropic community where our families and school partner and collaborate for the betterment of our school.
On the following pages, we applaud and celebrate the continued strength of our Country Day Fund and highlight several special initiatives from the 2023–24 school year.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Rodney ’64 and Elizabeth gift to the W.R. Pitts Family Endowed Scholarship. This most recent gift now makes their family endowment the largest single endowment and scholarship at Country Day. And we are humbled to remember a beloved member of our alumni family, Cackie Morrow Garner ’09, and honor her legacy through the newly established Cackie Morrow ’09 Memorial Endowed Scholarship which was generously established by Elizabeth Carver Warren ’78 and Hans Warren.
We also thank 13 generous families whose support has enabled us to resurrect the Athletics Hall of Honor this fall! This revival is 20 years in the making, and we cannot wait to celebrate during Homecoming Weekend, October 19, with our community as we induct nine deserving honorees.
On behalf of our school, we thank each and every person listed on the following pages for the united impact made for the future of Country Day.
We are a better school because of you!
Sincerely,
The collective impact of philanthropy at Country Day sets our school apart and enables us to remain in the forefront of independent school education in our region and nation.
