ALEXA WITH CHARLOTTE Alexa Feser, Song Writer and Singer At first glance, “music” and “jewelry” don’t seem to have much in common. But if you look more closely, they do resemble each other: both offer you the chance to express your feelings.

The great thing about the Charlotte system is that I can assemble the components of each style myself. It is exactly the same with music.

I want to have the freedom to always listen to music that echoes my feelings.

That’s how I decide what jewelry to wear – some days I choose brighter colors and expressive pieces. Other days I like to wear something subtle and more muted. The Charlotte jewelry set is ideal for that because I can coordinate my jewelry as I wish – depending on my mood or the occasion. With just 14 elements, I can design over two hundred jewelry pieces in no time at all. That’s perfect for today’s fast-moving world when you often rush from one appointment to the next. Our «Touch» ring is soft, round and flowing as though water smoothed it into shape. But nothing is left to chance here. Somewhat broader and higher at the top, and narrower and flatter at the bottom – this is how its shape perfectly fits the finger. Feels like a dream! Touch Gold, matt on the outside, highly polished on the inside, is the latest and most elegant addition to the «Touch» base rings in stainless steel and sterling silver and is the basis for an endless number of ring creations.

Here, the Touch Gold – one in yellow gold and one in rose gold – has a diamond in the centre in white or fancy brown. Classic and yet so special: a gold ring for life that can constantly be transformed. Is it an engagement ring, a wedding ring, party ring or business partner?

Colors don’t always have to be bright and shiny.

It is often the delicate shades and tones that catch our eye. Sometimes it needs to be even colorless. Is there actually such a thing as colorless? Colors always look good in combination.

Contrast and harmony are the stylistic devices used. White and gold, sky blue and steel or Tahitian mother-of-pearl with diamonds.

Something subtle can often have a very powerful effect: anthracite has the most potential to create something elegant and really sophisticated. White usually goes well with clothing.

Mother-of-pearl makes everything soft and gentle. Black conveys absolute depth. And our sky blue is the first step to your seventh heaven.

COLOR DISCS The Color Buttons series is attracting a lot of interest: Color Discs are their new companion.

A disc that encloses the button or centerpiece; a concentric circle makes it bigger and intensifies or changes its effect. There is a 24-millimeter disc for the smaller centerpieces and a 28-millimeter disc for the larger ones, each in white, gray, black, sky blue, pink and red.

Combining colors is the most important stylistic device in art and fashion. Since jewelry is sometimes shy in this respect, we would like to encourage you with our color series. Playing with pearls, playing with colors. Freshwater pearls fascinate in color nuances in ways we can barely describe. Their shimmering appearance ranges from clear mother-of-pearl white to warm orange tones to a muted violet.

We call the last two apricot and raspberry but our vocabulary still does not come even remotely close to matching the natural richness of the colors. We like to give free rein to these indescribable natural beauties with their silky sheen.

In many cultures and mythologies, the pearl has a deeply symbolic character: it stands for love, pureness and perfection, wealth, wisdom and happiness and is even regarded as a reward of paradise. Healing powers have been and still are attributed to the pearl. Even those that look more objectively at these shimmering small spheres cannot help being moved by their formation and magical appearance. They grow like a closely guarded secret of nature in the hidden depths of the oyster or freshwater mussel for several months or even years. It was undoubtedly a magical moment when this treasure was ­ ith its soft shimmer, first discovered in a shell. W also called “luster”, it not only entices pearl lovers to dream. Cabochon is the plainest and maybe also the earliest form of gemstone cut: a smooth round or oval form domed upwards, completely without facets. Like a raindrop. Maybe that was the model for the cabochon cut? Nothing distracts from the beauty and effect of the stone.

ROSE GOLD “Rose gold is ‘in’ ” …this is what we constantly hear. We don’t believe rose gold is a passing trend, rose gold is simply a dream, particularly fascinating when worn next to the skin.

We have always worked with rose gold and will continue to do so in the future, regardless of whether it is considered a trend or not. The great affinity to the skin makes this gold alloy virtually independent of “color type”. Simply try it out...regardless of what your color consultant has told you. Let yourself be won over by the exceptional deep warmth. Look at yourself in the mirror.

How can gold actually be rose-colored?

Goldsmiths talk of gold alloys. We usually take 750 parts of pure gold to 250 parts of other metals such as silver and copper. In the case of rose gold, it is usually copper parts.

People added other metals to pure gold fairly early on. Pure gold is very soft. Gold alloys are significantly harder and more robust.

However, you can create stricter and clearer forms with rose gold. We think it emanates peace and quiet too. This is particularly the case when you combine rose gold with light gray. This can look beautiful in your outfit of course but it can also be in direct combination with white gold, platinum or stainless steel.

Most pieces of jewelry made from pure gold can be bent by hand. This gives us the chance to make gold jewelry in a variety of colors today, such as white gold. Color and form are inseparable. We have naturally made our rose motifs out of rose gold. Rose and red – one symbol.

Just as though it was scattered randomly by the flower fairy, sometimes it goes to the left, other times to the right, or up and down. Sometimes the flowers are prominent, other times they are hiding.

MYRTLE As a symbol of vitality and love, the myrtle was dedicated to the Greek goddess Aphrodite in ancient times. The custom of decorating a bride with myrtle branches has lasted from the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans to the present day. Despite its rich significance, the myrtle is a modest looking plant. We have given its fascinatingly simple silhouette a trace of momentum as though the wind has set it in motion. Our abstraction is made in the purest sheet gold of 18k yellow gold and is a highly sophisticated piece of craftsmanship.
