American River Parkway / Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail The starting point for this 32 mile trail winds through Discovery Park, into the Folsom State Recreation area from the American River Parkway and ends at Beals Point. 13 min (6.0 mi) via CA-160 N/N Sacramento Fwy

Confluence and Auburn State Recreation Area This rail is a little over 3 miles, dog friendly, and also features a river to add to the gorgeous views. It’s also available year-round and welcomes runners, biking and kid friendly. 39 min (35.0 mi) via I-80 E

Cronan Ranch Trails and Park 12 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, bird watching, and other recreation. This trail is located in Pilot Hill, California, four miles north of Coloma on Highway 49. 55 min (45.3 mi) via I-80 E

Hidden Falls Regional Park Hidden Falls offers approximately 30 miles of trails for hiking, running, biking, horseback riding, two observation decks for viewing the waterfalls, picnic areas, swimming areas and fishing access. 51 min (40.7 mi) via I-80 E

Jenkinson Lake Loop Jenkinson Lake Loop Trail is a 8.5 mile loop trail located near Pollock Pines, California. It features a lake and is accessible year-round. 1 hr 3 min (61.1 mi) via US-50 E/El Dorado Fwy Lake Natoma Loop Over 11 miles, Lake Natoma Loop is a heavily trafficked trail near Folsom, California that features a river and is good for hikers of all ages. 24 min (19.3 mi) via US-50 E

Miner’s Ravine Trail Located near Roseville, California, this asphlat covered trail is 8.8 miles long with a scenic river and goes through the city of Roseville. It is kid and dog friendly, however dogs must be leashed. 26 min (19.5 mi) via I-80 E

Pleasant Grove Creek Trails North of Roseville, California, this 3.8 mile trail follows the course of Pleasant Grove Creek from east to west, with another branch flowing south. The trail connects neighbors to the nature in their backyard as well as to nearby parks and recreation. 33 min (26.4 mi) via I-80 E
