Patrick Gale - “Fiction for the Fearful” A creative writing course Château Ventenac, Southern France
Saturday 20 - Friday 26 October 2012
Château Life
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to write a novel but don’t know where to start? Perhaps you loved writing stories at school but somehow lost the confidence to continue? Novelist Patrick Gale will help you reconnect with your imagination and find the courage to take up your pen again. Mornings will be spent working as a group, using a mix of writing exercises and readings. Every student will have one afternoon tutorial alone with Patrick. This six day, all-inclusive residential course is held in the stunning surroundings of Château Ventenac, near Carcassonne in the South of France. Set on the banks of the Canal du Midi, the Château enjoys fabulous views across vineyards to the Pyrenees. This haven of peace and tranquillity provides a relaxed and inspirational setting, the perfect backdrop for our courses and retreats. Visit our website for more information.
From £695 Château Ventenac We can provide transfers to and from Carcassonne and Beziers airports and Narbonne train station.
Couldn’t have been looked after better – Julia, you had just the right touch, relaxed and accommodating. Oh, and great airport pick-up (so important to feeling one’s arrived in the right place!) A. S. 2010
Lovely, thank you! Nothing is too much trouble and you looked after us very, very well, making Château Ventenac feel like a home from home! Thank you. I’ll be back! G. P. 2011
