URBAN GREEN CONNECTION Green is the connecting factor in our new collections! We offer items in various shades of green for chefs and service staff. We believe in green because this colour represents the increasing awareness in our society, with a greater focus on a healthy diet, pure ingredients and responsible, sustainable products. We developed a chef jacket together with Nick Bril from The Jane**, Antwerp, and an outﬁt with Joris Bijdendijk from RIJKS®*, Amsterdam. This ultimately resulted in the Bujutsu collection (p. 4, 30 & 46) and the Nordic collection (p. 5, 30 & 46)! Discover the different shades of green!

COLLECTIONS

BUJUTSU

PURE DENIM

The Bujutsu chef jacket was designed for chef Nick Bril of The Jane** restaurant in Antwerp and is inspired by Japanese style. The collection is modern, sleek and distinctive, with diagonal, asymmetrical pockets that give the items a fresh look. The collection colours are also unique: the chef jackets are not only available in black and white, but also in green. The earthy tones of the bib aprons and waist aprons fit in perfectly with these colours. These colourful outfits draw all eyes towards the kitchen!

Pure Denim Collection is strong, raw, and has character. That’s why it’s the perfect blend of fashion and workwear. Real denim is alive! The more you wash it, the more it comes to life. Wash and treat it as you want. Pure Denim takes on your identity. Besides Indigo Blue and Antra there are beautiful earth shades: green, grey, brown and mud. Be daring and combine the style that fits you. Everybody loves denim! The Pure Denim collection is not suitable for industrial cleaning.

Go for a pure, fresh look with our Nordic collection! The Nordic chef jacket was designed for master chef Joris Bijdendijk from the RIJKS®* restaurant in Amsterdam. The idea was to develop a new chef jacket in a shirt style. The items in this collection therefore feature freedom of movement and comfort. Chaud Devant found inspiration in the Scandinavian trends: the Nordic items are sleek and simplistic, but with sophisticated details. If you’re looking for user-friendly chefwear, this collection is for you!

Authentic, lightweight and timeless. From bistro to food truck or trendy bar, the new Leather70 collection fits in anywhere. The innovative combination of cowhide and polyester makes the leather bib and waist aprons lightweight and less vulnerable to stains. All of the apron ties are fully adjustable. The ‘raw edge single stitch’ finish gives the collection its recognizable, tough appearance. The Leather70 collection comes in four attractive colours: Irish Cream, Bourbon Gold, Barrel Brown, and Moonshine Black.

BLACK LABEL

Freedom of movement is the most prominent feature of the FX collection. The entire collection is made of lightweight fabrics, both with and without texture. The fine jersey fabric guarantees unlimited flexibility. This fabric is made of Tencel® and polyester produced from recycled plastic bottles. The combination of these materials is not only environmentally friendly, but also ensures that the fabric dries quickly. Whether you prefer short, half-length or roll-up sleeves, the collection has it all. Make every day in the kitchen a comfortable day!

Black Label shows the brutal side of our brand, sturdy black fabric, finished with metallic rings and studs. You also get aprons and pinafores in this style with a challenging slit, giving you additional freedom of movement. Black Label has two lines: water repellent and denim. Both fabrics are industrial washable and colourfast. So once the guests are gone, you can flop down on the white damask tablecloth without any danger.

RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTES Chaud Devant® has developed a special material for its first Recycled Plastic Bottles Collection! Made of 100% recycled plastic bottles in an eco-friendly fabric (200 gr/m2). A white, satin woven fabric made of 65% recycled polyester and 35% environmentally friendly cotton. The fabric has a stain repellent finish that makes it easy to remove stains and an Easy Care finish, making the fabric very easy to iron. Goal: Full Cradle to Cradle solution. Oeko-Tex® STeP and Oeko-Tex® STANDARD 100 Many of our fabrics are certified with the OEKOTEX® STeP or OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 quality label. This means that they are produced in a sustainable manner with few or no chemicals. In other words, honest clothing for today’s ecoconscious chefs!

Amfori BSCI Chaud Devant® works with European studios that are Amfori BSCI Members. Amfori BSCI is a wellknown quality label that guarantees good, safe working conditions and decent wages. We also visit all studios personally on a regular basis.

COOLMAX®

The fabrics used for our chefwear are very carefully selected. That is why Tencel® is found in a number of our products. This fabric keeps you cool and is highly absorbent. It even dries faster than cotton. It goes without saying that we want only the very best materials for our products!

As a chef, naturally you want to stay nice and cool in the kitchen. That is why products like our underwear collection are made of COOLMAX®. This soft fabric is breathable, moistureabsorbing and fast-drying. This way, you can be sure to stay nice and fresh and perform optimally in the kitchen.

SecondLife®

SERVE ELEGANCE Your service staff represents your restaurant, which means their work wear should leave a good impression. This is where our Serve Elegance collection comes in!

SecondLife® is a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. It can be industrially cleaned, making it highly suitable for chefwear. The combination with Tencel® results in a jersey fabric that is flexible, lightweight and provides exceptional freedom of movement. This fabric can be found in the FX collection.

Waste2Wear® With Waste2Wear®, Chaud Devant® does its part to help make the world a little greener. Products with the Waste2Wear label are made of recycled plastic bottles. These bottles are processed into polyester, which is then used to create our RPB collection.

This symbol gives information about the possibility and the kind of a domestic washing process by machine or by hand. The ciphers in the washing tub specify the maximum temperature in C, which must not be exceeded.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS For a proper treatment of your chef’s outfit, please refer to the care label with washing instructions at the inside of the garment. We recommend that you wash the garment before first use: at 30 degrees on a short program with a small amount of washing detergent. Choose an anti-wrinkle program if possible. Wash colored garments separately. To preserve the press buttons on the chef jackets, they should not be pressed in the laundry.

QUALITY & TRADEMARKS The triangle is an indication for a bleaching process. A white triangle means any bleaching agent allowed. 12.3.4567

This symbol specifies information on the possibility of domestic drying. The circle inside the square specifies the drying in a domestic tumble dryer. The dots within the circle in the square specify the temperature setting during drying. 1 dot: low temperature of 60 °C, 2 dots: normal temperature exhaust temperature max. 80 °C

This symbol specifies ironing or pressing. The dots within it give the maximum ironing or pressing temperatures. 1 dot: Maximum temperature of 110 °C. Steam iron may cause irreversible damage. 2 dots: Maximum temperature of 150 °C. 3 dots: Maximum temperature of 200 °C.

The circle gives information on the possibility of professional dry or wet cleaning. The letters within the circle specify the solvents that can be used. The P is used for Professional dry cleaning in tetrachloroethene.

SecondLife® SecondLife® is a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. It can be industrially cleaned, making it highly suitable for chefwear. The combination with Tencel® results in a jersey fabric that is flexible, lightweight and provides exceptional freedom of movement. This fabric can be found in the FX collection.
