Concept It is common to see gourd decorations in Chinese house. Gourd represents happiness and have a lot of offspring. There are not many artists using natural gourds to create. I want to make this unique and positive material a furniture that people would feel interesting when they are using it. 葫蘆是東方家庭中常見的裝飾 表達福祿與多子多孫的意象 家具通常是由木或竹做成 我想利用葫蘆可以木質化的特性 因為其特殊的代表性 我希望製成每個家庭中 都可以放置的椅子

use steel brush to clean the fur on the gourd’ s surface.
make a hole for removing seeds and melon part so that it would not grow mold.
inject water in the gourd and shake it to let the seeds and melon out.

Step 4. put gourds in the bucket with hydrogen peroxide and soak for 3 days. 將葫蘆泡在雙氧水中 3 天防腐
Step 5. dry it under the sun for 20 days. 日曬風乾 20 天
Prototype
This is the first version of the design. 1. I found that gourd is too fragile because it is hollow inside. 2. Even 12 gourds could not bear a 65 kg weight man. 3. The length of strip steel has to be as long as the whole circle surface. 4. Wooden chair legs' structure is unstable when a person sitting on it. 在最初的設計中我發現了幾個問題點 1. 中空的葫蘆很脆弱 2.12 個葫蘆無法支撐 65 公斤的人 3. 中間之稱的鐵條需要跟葫蘆排出來的圓直徑一樣長 4. 母椅腳結構坐上去後會傾倒
First I use curved iron bars to imitate the shape of gourd. Top iron bars are the main structure for gourds supporting. Than, I found that the chair is stronger if I put cement inside. Last, spraying transparent topcoat to prevent mold. 我使用金屬彎管模擬葫蘆的外型 上部的米字金屬條是椅面的 主要支撐結構 我發現在葫蘆中灌入水泥 有助於增強椅面對抗正向力

空汙是對健康影響一大問題 VOID為了節省室內空間而採用吊掛的方式 造型是源自於水母的鍾罩 我們利用雪紡紗塑造出水母的輕盈感 美化空間同時也帶來乾淨的空氣
Air pollution is a major problem that effects our health. VOID air purifier saves space by hanging on ceiling. The shape is inspired by jellyfish, using chiffon to shape the floating lampshade Creating a relaxing and clean environment for everyone.
85% of the time that people stay indoor everyday. More and more people start to concern about air quality nowadays. People prefer stay in the office or house where air conditioner always on. The word " Sick Building Syndrome " appears. Report from WHO said that 100 thousands of people died of asthma every year, 35% is children. 人們每天有85%的時間待在室內 越來越多人開始關心室內空氣品質 出現了「病態築物症候群」 WHO的研究報告中指出 因為室內空氣污染而死於氣喘的人 全球每年有10萬人，其中有35％為兒童

Our first thought is to choose an animal which can filter in its body, just like a natural air purifier. Then we decided jellyfish is the best choice because we need space to set our mechanism. Jellyfish's bell would be the good shape to design. 我們最初的想法是仿生，尋找一樣生物和空濾機一樣有過濾功能 最後決定以水母的造型去發展 因為水母鐘罩的形狀適合放入機器也符合乾淨唯美的形象
We tried many kinds of polyester fabric to imitate jellyfish, and tied up with cotton thread on our 3DP model. Heating them with hot water for 20 minutes. We found that a rough chiffon is well shape and it could maintain its appearance permanent. We also realized that the chiffon is difficult to form in a perfect shape. How to deal with extra fabric around the 3DP model is important step. 我們實驗了許多聚脂纖維布料，並且使用棉線加熱水煮塑形，最後發現粗雪紡紗的最能維持我們 理想的造形 也了解到雪紡紗很難收邊成我們要的形狀，怎麼用一大塊布鋪在3DP模具上是一大的困難

2019 Product Design Taiwan Hakka Lime Tea is a kind of compressed tea, which made of Hutou Gan. Hakka people use this lime to worship ancestors. It is not tasty, so Hakka people would turn the lime into tea. They figure out that this tea is also good for health. Through 3 times steaming and 3 times drying. It has to take 3 months to complete all of works. 台灣客家酸柑茶是由虎頭柑製成，是緊壓茶之一，客家人用虎頭柑祭拜完祖先後不捨得丟掉 直接食用味道不佳，所以他們發現製成為酸柑茶不僅不浪費又有益健康 製作過程耗時，需要經過三蒸三曬方能完成
Hakka Lime Tea represents people’s hard-working and frugal. Because of these Hakka cultures, every family could keep having good life from generation to generation. I wish people who use the pot could reunion with family members and appreciate what they have this year. 酸柑茶代表客家人的辛勤與刻苦 因為這種民族文化特徵 客家家庭很重視世代的幸福 我希望在使用柑鍋的時候 凝聚家庭情感並感謝一年當中的辛勞

Gum Pot is a set of pot, I use Hakka Lime Tea’s shape on the design.The function includes steaming, boiling, frying… It is suitable for cooking various ways. Bamboo steamer is an important kitchenware to Hakka culture from then till now. This pot is originally designed for use in any kind of Hakka dishes. Though bamboo steamer is almost replaced by electronic steamer, there is a irreplaceable smell from bamboo. I want people back to nature and enjoy eating in a traditional way.
柑鍋是蒸鍋組，我利用酸柑茶的 外型和製作過程的行為意象作為 我的造型發展 柑鍋的功能可適應每種客家料理 方式，竹製蒸鍋在客家文化中扮 演重要的角色，雖然竹製蒸鍋在 現今大多被電子蒸鍋取代，但使 用竹製蒸食物的竹子香是無法被 取代的 期望大家能在這個塑膠製社會中 多使用自然造材用品並享受傳統 的食用方式
GUM Pot Radish bun and dumpling are Hakka traditional meals. GUM Pot is designed to make not only Hakka dishs but western cuisine a new way to serve. People would get close to Hakka culture through the POT! 菜包和餃子是客家菜餚，柑鍋不只設計用來做客家料理 也適用於西方料理，讓西式能又一個新的方式上菜 所有人都能購過柑鍋更認識客家文化!

I made this coffee machine based on Vespa's smoothy shape. The user could connect with riding experience during using the machine. I want users enjoy the time making coffee just like when they ride the motorcycle. 從偉士牌流線的造型為基礎製作了這台咖啡機 讓使用者在做咖啡時連結他們的乘車體驗

I choose some popular colors of Vespa scooter. Top of the coffee machine imitates front side of the scooter.The key point is the luster of steel. Widely using steel with bright colors on the machine and decorate with vintage buttons. 我選了偉士牌機車的熱門色使用在 咖啡機上，機身正面是摸擬機車最 大面積的鋼琴烤漆鋼板 也大量運用鍍鉻飾條和亮色系 選擇用復古按鈕裝飾機身呼應機車 復古經典美式風格

PYPE is made up of paper pulp. This design recycled paper which we use a lot everyday. It is a environment friendly tape dispenser. Because tape is a consumed tool ,I made this station to remind users to cherish the tape and waste less. PYPE膠台由紙漿製成 將我們每天產生的廢紙回收 這是個對環境友善為目標的產品 因為膠台是一個消耗品 希望藉由這個文具提醒使用者 珍惜膠帶的使用並減少浪費

To emphasize the point of wasting day by day. I build the shape like a clock, and it will swing when people use the tape. Just like time ticks away. It is always a inconvenience to me when I install a new tape on the dispenser because I have to check the direction carefully. PYPE has 2 blades, both sides could cut down the tape. It also enables people to store 2 tapes. What's more, 2 people could use this dispenser at the same time. 為了重視每天浪費的問題，我用了時鐘的造型，像時間滴答流逝 為了解決每次換裝膠帶時需要找方向的不便這是一款能雙向使用 的膠帶台，兩邊都有鋸片能切斷膠帶，也可以同時存放兩個膠帶 所以可允許同時兩個人在不同方向撕膠帶

4Water 2019 Product Design This is designed for children and blinder. Using their fingerprint to set temperature and volume of water they drink everyday. For children and the blinder, the interface is clean and the drainage is like a animal's mouth to make children want to use water dispenser. User can set a drinking goal for themselves.The machine will play the music when it reaches the goal, and remind you to drink when you fail. 這是一個為兒童和盲人設計的飲水機 只要使用指紋就能設定出水溫和出水量 設計較乾淨的介面讓兒童和盲人能 簡單的使用，出水處也設計成模仿動物 嘴巴可愛的樣子，讓小朋友會想要去 裝水，這是一款智能飲水機 使用者可設定一天的喝水量 達到目標後機器會撥放音樂 若是沒有喝到目標量 機器也會透過手機app提醒

It also remember how much water you drink today. 飲水機具有銳利、流線和現代的線條 利用較圓潤的造型讓各個家庭都適用 為了讓人們想要喝水並變成一種習慣 只需要一個指頭放到感應器上不須出力 就能得到一杯水溫與水量設定好的水 也能記錄每天個人的喝水量
Everyone has own fingerprint.I found that fingerprint recognition is a easy way to get water and using it to remember each people's water data. Parents can track or make children drinking water a habit. When children drink less water the machine will send a message to phones to remind. 指紋能辨識每個獨立個體，我也發現同樣要用手指取得開水，不如用簡單省力的方式，結合智能電腦 紀錄喝水的數據，家長也可幫小孩建立喝睡習慣並追蹤喝水量，當小孩喝太少水時會發一封簡訊給家長
So I made the machine which can -determine personal preferences 依照個人喜好設定水溫、水量 -current time at a touch 輕觸可看到現在的時間 -give water temperature suitable for this weather and health 推薦今日天氣的適當飲水溫度 -set the temperature of the water that easily make coffee or milk 設定泡咖啡或牛奶的溫度
Rescube emergency carton shelter 災難緊急避難紙箱 2019 Product Design
RESCUE + CUBE Rescube is a design for those who lose their home due to unpredictable nature disaster. It is difficult for workers to reach some disaster area for rescue. Airdrops will become the crucial rescue method. Pack the material for airdrop will use lots of cartons. I have an idea to reuse those cartons to become a simple shelter after landing on the ground. Rescube為那些因為自然災害而失去家園的人們設計 許多災區因為地形阻礙人工救難，空投成為首要的 物資急救方式，我在設計空投的箱子，讓箱子落地後 能透過簡單的組裝編成臨時性的避難所

I try to make it easy for refugee to assemble cardboard boxes. Searching many origami methods. KEY points: 1. water proof 2. big and long enough for any height of people 3. easy to fold 4. strong enough to stand in the wind
Project 1 This project is a workshop in NCTRI. It is also my first time to use 3D ceramic printer. The concept of this candlestick is party’s frequency. There are different kinds of people in the party. Frequency represents music and personality. It is difficult for 3D ceramic printer to make this twisted shape. Through several failures, I found suitable curve to support my structure.
Project 2 I use morph box to paste my pattern on the vase. This idea comes from a wedding dress. I try many pattern to imitate texture of fabric and 3D print it by ceramic. Finally, I make a soft silk model.
Project 3 After 3D modeling in Rhino. First, I using acrylic board to laser and stack up all pieces.Second is change the number in grasshopper to make angle, height, edge different, and 3D print it.
