CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS SEMESTER 1 STAR WARS CUBE GROUP TASK TASK: TO CREATE AN INTERACTIVE CUBE THAT BEST REPRESENT THE GIVEN STAR WARS CHARACTER

3/STAR WARS CUBE

STAR WARS CUBE - THE EVOLUTION OF C-3PO

The star wars character that my group got was C-3PO. It is a droid programmed by the heroic Jedi Anakin Skywalker. In the movie, C-3PO has 3 times of evolution and we decided to focus on this to make our cube. C-3PO was first a naked robot with all his wires exposed, then he has silver shell and finally the golden shell. Our cube mechanism was based on rube goldberg where the 3 different C-3PO head will be connected based on it’s evolution in the movie.

ELEMENTS OF NATURAL & BUILT ENVIRONMENT SEMESTER 1 PASAR SENI SITE ANALYSIS GROUP TASK TASK: TO CARRY OUT SITE ANALYSIS ON A SELECTED STREET AT PASAR SENI AND PRODUCE PRESENTATION BOARDS

5/PASAR SENI SITE ANALYSIS

PASAR SENI SITE ANALYSIS

We can choose any street at Pasar Seni area to carry out our site analysis and the street that our group chose is called Jalan Petaling. This street is interesting because it consists of some architecture and shoplots with high historical values. One of the tourists hotspot, Petaling Street, is also located at this street. We went to the site several times to collect data and take pictures to produce our presentation boards. We have to be sensitive to our site such as be aware of the happenings at our site in order to produce a good quality site analysis. Other than presentation boards, we were also required to produce a 2 minutes documentary video to introduce our site.

INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING SEMESTER 2 ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS INDIVIDUAL TASK TASK: TO PRODUCE ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS FROM ANY DAILY OBJECTS

7/ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS

ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS USING DAILY OBJECTS

We are required to choose any object that have a smaller base size than a5 paper size to produce 8 drawings in total which includes perspective, plan view, 3 elevation, section and 2 detailed drawings. All of these drawings have to be done using tools such as French curve and ruler. The object that I chose is a toy plane.

CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPE+INTRO TO DRAWING SEMESTER 2 LANDSCAPE PROPOSAL INDIVIDUAL TASK TASK: TO BUILD A PARK VISITOR CENTRE AND PROPOSE THE SURROUNDING LANDSCAPE ELEMENTS

9/LANDSCAPE PROPOSAL

LANDSCAPE PROPOSAL

We were given a site to conduct landscape site analysis before this assignment and now we have to build a park visitor centre and propose the surrounding landscape at the same site with the site boundary of 25m x 20m. My site is located at Taman Tasik Permaisuri, Cheras, and my proposal was a English Garden concept with irregular design approach. We have to prepare our proposal in 2 A1 size board which includes master plan, 2 sectional elevation, elevation, perspective and 2 detailed drawings.

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN SEMESTER 2 DESIGN EXPLORATION BOOKLET INDIVIDUAL TASK TASK: TO EXPLORE THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN

11/DESIGN EXPLORATION BOOKLET

DESIGN EXPLORATION BOOKLET

This project aim is to expose us to the basics of design such as the design elements, design principle, design compositions and motif & pattern. We were required to take photographs and explain it based on different design element, principle or composition. As for the motif & pattern component, we were required to use the knowledge we gained about design from the photographs to create 2 motif on our own. 12/DESIGN EXPLORATION BOOKLET

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN SEMESTER 2 FABRIC MANIPULATION GROUP TASK TASK: TO CREATE ARTWORKS USING FABRIC THAT REPRESENT A JEWELRY BRAND’S CHARACTERISTICS

13/FABRIC MANIPULATION

FABRIC MANIPULATION Each group was given a jewellery brand and we have to study on that brand to create 2 geometric artworks (orderly and non-orderly) that represent the distinctive elements of that given brand using fabric. The jewellery brand that my group got was ‘Buccellati’. Buccellati is a jewellery brand originated from Italy that emphasis on “Timeless concept” that mainly produce fine jewelry and luxury watches.

Our final fabric artwork 14/FABRIC MANIPULATION

Our presentation boards We did research on this brand and we found out that their style of jewellery is focus more on the Italian Renaissance design with the application of radial and emphasis and we decided to focus on these characteristics when designing our artwork.

17/FORM MANIPULATION

FORM MANIPULATION Each group was given an architect to study on and we have to come out with models weekly after doing our research that can represent the architect’s style and finally a final model and presentation boards. The architect that my group got was Daniel Libeskind. His building has very obvious architecture style which is pointy edges. We finalize a few distinctive elements after we did our research on him which is angular form, intersecting forms and sharp edges.

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN SEMESTER 2 DESIGN PROCESS JOURNAL INDIVIDUAL TASK TASK: TO EXPLORE AND STUDY ON THE GIVEN LEGO CHARACTER FOR THE FINAL PROJECT

21/DESIGN PROCESS JOURNAL

DESIGN PROCESS JOURNAL (DPJ) This project required us to study on the given lego miniature character to prepare us for the final project. The character that I got was Ultraman Taro. The first task of this project is to investigate our character and produce a CD cover based on the character’s characteristics. DPJ 01

DPJ 03

This is the last component of this project before entering the final project. We were required to research on “Toy Display Set” and “Tower” to have a better understanding to help us with the final project. Then, we have to come out with some initial ideas of tower for our toy character.

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN SEMESTER 2 LEGO TOWER DISPLAY SET INDIVIDUAL TASK TASK: TO CREATE A TOWER FOR THE GIVEN LEGO TOY CHARACTER USING FORM MANIPULATION

25/LEGO TOWER DISPLAY SET

LEGO TOWER DISPLAY SET My toy character was Ultraman Taro. He usually have fight on the earth but his source of energy, sunlight, was insufficient for him in earth. Therefore, I decided to build a energy station tower to provide him solar energy. We were required to produce 2 A1 presentation boards with orthographic drawings of the tower.
