Dongguan, Guangdong, in southern China , has had the custom of a waterside market since ancient times. Since the outbreak of the 19-covid, people have experienced narrowing and expanding social distance in a dramatic way. When the epidemic eased, stall setting was once again in vogue.
In this design, I want to link the relationship 'shops seeking for people rather than 'people seeking for shops' to the architecture, to build a spontaneous building that is usually used for freight and retail and can be integrated into a commercial complex when the epidemic situation improves. The buildings can be clustered according to the severity of the epidemic situation.

The development of the epidemic affects the way people gather. When the epidemic is serious, people are separated. When the epidemic is eased, people can gather together.
In this design, there are three basic prototypes of mobile shops.
They can gather with each other according to the severity of the epidemic and flow among communities. When the epidemic is relieved, people can get together to participate in the exhibition.

Construction details
Construction strategy of aquatic buildings mainly based on steel structures.
1.Cement board is used for the internal ground of the first floor near the water;
2.The high part of the exhibition area on the second floor is a plugin splicing floor;
4 Perspective section
Individual shops make up the first floor of the complex They can gather and form a strip market. People can shuttle through the corridors as freely as a traditional waterside market.
On the second floor, the level of the store is expanded, people can select high-quality goods and watch the exhibition here.

The design scheme adopts the wooden grid structure, which is characterized by a large span, floor overhang , and modular rapid construction. Therefore, we design with 3600*3600mm as the modulus, and the placement of internal functional space also corresponds to the modulus of the grid. The space division law with sliding doors as partitions, combined with the cable car system in the southwest of Bogota, has created a cable car station for exhibition and riding, as well as public services, talent markets , and other comprehensive functions. Finally, it shows a strong sense of integrity and order.

The terrain of Bogota has become rugged from northeast , showing a huge gap between the rich and the poor. In the location area in the southwest, the infrastructure is particularly imperfect, and many buildings are built by residents themselves.

In the past century, Belgium has rich mineral resources and many thermal power plants ; Now, due to the needs of environmental protection and human survival, clean energy has gradually become the mainstream, and the cooling tower has also been shut down and abandoned with the IM power station located in Charleroi. However, its interior is high and closed. Only the space with holes on the top can penetrate the sky. It is very unique and amazing. I think it can still be refreshed by design.
In general, this cooling tower is now used for the sales and storage of sustainable energy products, including new energy vehicles and UAVs. I hope to create a place dedicated to the experience of cars and UAVs . The original cooling tower is retained in the design as the main functional venue. The expanded venue is connected with the old building by an arc, forming two smoothly connected circles on the plane. The UAV flight test floor at the top is glass floor, which retains the space characteristics of light entering at the top. In order to provide better lighting for the car sales floor close to the land, a glass curtain wall is added at the side, The streamline shape fitting the tower body echoes with the test drive track of the building.

The original annular space of the old cooling tower is connected with the expanded part by an arc.
The part of the cooling tower is used as the reception space and entrance, and the other side is the sustainable energy vehicle exhibition hall, restaurant and office space. The two parts are connected by a bright red test drive track.

From the sales floor of the UAV, you can overlook the car starting from the test drive floor through the vertical glass curtain wall.
In the sales floor of the UAV, the surrounding structure of the cooling tower has been transformed into a niche for storing UAV cargo.

At the entrance, you can see the old cooling tower as the main body of the building, and the space in front is used as a small square.
West elevation
From the old tower to the new hall, there are more and more windows, and the facade is gradually transparent from closed.
North elevation
The test drive runway starts from the old cooling tower, spirals downward, and drives out from the new hall.
Perspective section
The underground floor of the old cooling tower can still be used for hydropower generation to supply power to the sales center in a clean energy way.
From the bottom to the top, they are the sales office of sustainable energy vehicles and the sales floor of unmanned aerial vehicles. The top floor gradually becomes free for the test flight of unmanned aerial vehicles. The old cooling tower is connected with the new building through the test drive runway, and the new building is used for garage and office as an accessory of the old building.

After the millennium, the entertainment industry has set off a wave of idol selection/shows worldwide. Young people without systematic performance skills have emerged from all ages and backgrounds through training and drafting to become superstars.
The design discussed the cruel selection mechanism behind this phenomenon and illustrated this scene in architecture used to select idols into a hierarchical society full of class contrasts. Regarding spatial order, the 18-story building is divided into three layers for distinctive groups : trainees without special skills, trainees in the specialties group, and trainees who “survived” in the final selection. The spatial language reflects the competition scenes of each level, and the idol hierarchy is reflected in the spatial structure . The space order has evolved from a tight and homogeneous single compartment to an open and free plan. At first, one person could only have an enclosed small-size room, but after a successful upgrade, he can enjoy a whole floor. Furthermore, the progressively transparent facade suggests an increased exposure and opportunity for performers to showcase their talents.

I.Study on linear wood structure materials
This research on linear wood selects the community center of the thick wood base in Ayase, Japan as the main case.
During the research, I learned that linear timber structures can be built in different ways, such as arch camber, bunching, overlapping and overlapping, and bring different plane spaces and roof spaces. The construction method I selected is the pyramid grid structure. Each structural unit can be disassembled into three parts, which are connected by steel members and bolts.
Manufacturing process and tools
The space truss is divided into three parts from top to bottom, namely the upper chord, web member and lower chord. The four corners are supported by short columns. This structure is equivalent to a thick plate, which uniformly distributes the force to the structural columns.

Before designing rammed earth buildings, I conducted research on local buildings in Xiaoshan, Zhejiang, and used linear sketch to show the texture of different materials in buildings.

Research model
Study on raw soil materials. Using the experimental method of controlling variables, the test is carried out from the structural strength and color performance of the rammed soil test block. I tried to change the nature of rammed soil through pure natural materials.
