QUEEN’S WHARF DEVELOPMENT INTRODUCTION: AUD $3Bn Development in Brisbane, Australia, including Hospitality, Retail and High-end Residential. I joined the team after the initial Bid submission and advanced key parts of the project from a massing (with regular pattern) into resolved functional designs through SD, DD. Design approved parts were then handed over to teams focused on documentation.

PROCESS: 1. Worked with existing Design Concept, budgets and building parameters. 2. Divided large project into key parts and assigned priorities 3. Co-created with team, partners, directors and stakeholders to gain buy-in 4. Rapid prototyping in Rhino to create many iterations on many different parts of the project to align interests of all parties 5. Once each part approved, handed over to documentation team to convert design into BIM. Acted as consultant through this stage

Some fun on the side...

ARCHSHORTCUTS WEBSITE WHY: In 2014, I read a book called the “4-hour work week - this was my first exposure to entrepreneurship. I identified that there were many resources for most business professions - consulting, finance etc... but nothing for architecture. So I launched a website as an learning experience that could potentially help the next generation of architects. And if there was a commercialization opportunity, why not?

ACHIEVEMENTS: 1. Launched platform and vision page 2. Spread word to personal network and recruited CoFounder. 3. Produced initial series of articles - many iterations based on feedback 4. Increased organic traffic to 2000 views per day, sustainedover six months, leveraging affiliate network partnerships. 5. Identified commercialization opportunity for helping architects find a job in China 6. Co-created eBook product for demand 7. Took website down due to lack of updates and China market slowdown

PLAYBOOK APP DEVELOPMENT WHY: Initially the project started in a class at INSEAD where we had the chance to partner up with local coders and develop an MVP, GTM and Business Plan. Having received tremendous feedback, I decided to pursue the app further (more curiosity and for the learning experience).

PROCESS: 1. Identified painpoint in Erotica market after several pivots from other ideas. 2. Managed coder and UX design to create alpha wireframe 3. Developed business plan, go to market strategies and investor pitch 4. Received strong feedback from VC/ Startup expert panel to pursue idea 5. Obtained mentors and expert advisors 5. Identified multiple segments of focus

painpoints

and

6. Currently conducting multivariate experiences to test product-market fit and form brief for MVP.

BURNINGMAN 2018 EXPERIENCE DESIGN WHY: I worked / am working on this project as the Strategist and Experience Designer. The experience journey follows the following framework: 1. Collision 2. Curiosity 3. Connection 4. Collaboration 5. Celebration

DAY: Collison! Burners are surprised by Pixel tower, standing tall in the horizon. Intrigued, burners are enticed towards the enigmatic structure. On arrival, burners discover the structure is climbable and are invited to explore at their own pace. Exploration reveals a series of spaces formed by pixels - some can shelter up to a small group of people. Individuals, couples and groups enjoy intimate moments with panoramic views of the playa. The positive experience leaves burners inspired to share this discovery with others.

NIGHT:

Collison! Burners are surprised by people calling out to them and a lit spire in the distance. Intrigued, burners openly head towards the activity. On arrival burners feel a jolt of excitement. The tower brightens as more people surround it. Noises seem to trigger ripple effects in the lighting. Burners experiment with the sounds and call more passerbyers over. “How bright will this get? Excited by the experience, you vow to bring your friends back another night.

THE LOST TESSERACT DESIGN & KICKSTARTER WHY: With one of my closest friends, we decided we wanted to go to Burning Man this year and what better way to make the most of the opportunity than to contribute something we are good at? Building a physical project! We knew that Burning provides grants every year for installations and we must submit both a design proposal and a construction document for the bid.

PROCESS: 1. Identified our unique point of difference and skills with parametric design 2. Iterated and tested variations through 3D models and 1:100 prototypes 3. Prepared presentations and specifications for submission. 4. Did not receive Burningman funding, but received tickets to BM 5. Developed Kickstarter campaign and created products for our sponsors
