POOL OF CHOICE CORE STUDIO 2012 FALL CRITIC: JANETTE KIM
The plain floating volume of the pool has a peculiar curve bottom, which suggest the water contained inside. This gesture raise the attention of the pedestrians to a level that may be either ignored or taken seriously.
URGENT CONSTRUCTION SEU - ETH JOINT STUDIO 2010 LEADER OF TEAM CRITIC: SACHA MENZ(ETH), HAIQING LI
Basement blocks of raw steel with joints on
Framework ASPL sticks calculated
Outer panel alloy components hanging on frame
Fillers bubbled concrete filled in
Inner panel 4mm foil of aluminum decorated
Ceiling and floor prefabricated aluminum and wood parts
Windows and door three firm items with little weight
Furniture wood bed, table, chairs and cabinet
Integrated Container Size: 5960mm*2360mm*2780mm
To make construction without heavy equipment possible, the living unit for disaster area employs aluminum extrusions as frames and bubble-concrete insulated aluminum panels.
SITE AND DELIVERY The container was supposed to be located right in front of the department of architecture on one axis of Southeast University. However it was built in the factory. Routines were specially designed to provide access for trucks and hoist, which played a critical role in delivering the container.
CHIRIS THE PORTAL TECH ELECTIVE 2014 FALL WITH JEFFREY MONTES, DANAE VOKOLOS CRITIC: CHUCK HOBERMAN
By combining the Hoberman Off-Center Scissor Mechanism and the Origami techniques, we created a portal for the court behind the Avery with a cladding system that has 3 dimensional transformation. Nylon Insert Nut

ENCODED MATTER VISUAL STUDY 2012 FALL WITH MENGXING WANG CRITIC: EZIO BLASETI
Ant behaviors are simulated
based on habitat competition (move to occupy the largest square). The aggregation of habitat along Z (time) axis form the colony of the ant.
ADV. ALGORITHM VISUAL STUDY 2015 SPRING WITH MENGXING WANG CRITIC: MARK COLLINS, TORU HASEGAWA
Translating body motion into
digital geometry using Kinect and Processing. A matrix of dots that oscillates and interferes is used as a motion interpreting device.
