Project origins: The project is ispirated by the “St. Girolamo Studio” painting from Antonello da Messina, this famouse work show an interestant multifuntional forniture; the structure on which the saint is studying results as a separate ambience from the rest of the space thanks to a rise of a few centimeters. This concept has been token in different design, and often the elevation factor is an important aspect for the area isolation

Misures:
The main point of the project is about the abolition of the walls, which function is done by the difference in height between the various adjacent areas.
Modular compositions: As the courtain walls abolition can save some space inside the structure, the use of modular apartaments give the possibility to save more space thanks to the use of common walls.
Different types of subdivision has been contemplated, but it was immediately evident that curvilinear shapes or regular shapes such as a square were not suitable for the purpose.
The Structure misures has been choosed starting by the bigger forniture, the bed: it’s the centre of the space and the main element of the structure; together with the living room (That can be considered the same area) it connect all the spaces.
It was therefore chosen for a conventional “T” shape with the modular measures which could allow a perfect interlocking between the various apartments
Starting from this the rest of the apartament will take shape by a compromise between funtionality and struttural needing as the side of the stairs that go to influence the living room size, and this in turn mast be 2 time the size of the two marginal rooms
Here whe can find some kind possible compositions, keeping attention that the long side (where we have the entrance never must not be in contact with other structures
Use of light: The windows position allow to have obtain light on kitchen (especiali on the work table) and on the central area on the bed and living room with the big window .
