The Fresno Cardinals had twenty five hits in the series Fresno, CA June 15, 2011 – After splitting the series the night before the Cardinals looked to take two out of three. The Fresno Cardinals had their second highest hits on the season with thirteen. Zak Colby, Nate Dalena, Chris Kuber, and Brandon King each hit a double. The Fresno Cardinals had four doubles, four walks, and two stolen bases. They were unable to hold off the Redding Colt .45’s early rally and lost the final game of the series 11-4. Zak Colby went 1-3 with a walk and a double. Nate Dalena went 1-3 with a double and a RBI. Sam Donald had two walks. Matt Fox went 1-2 with a stolen base. Chris Kuber went 1-1 with a #2 Brian Gaad went 2-3 with a walk, double. LaBronze Sanderson went 1-3 with a run. RBI, and a run Mitchell Sodersten went 1-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base. Colton Vaughn went 2-3. Cody White went 1-2. Connor Williams went 1-2 with a run. Pitcher Richard Demshok (Reedley College) got the start for the Cardinals. He pitched three innings, giving up ten hits, eight earned runs, and struck out two. Colton Vaughn (South Mount. CC) singled to left field with one out in the first inning. Brian Gaad (Reedley College) singled to center field to start off the bottom of the third inning. Sam Donald (Fresno State) grounded out moving Brian Gaad to second. LaBronze Sanderson (Cuesta College) singled to left field putting runners at first and third. With two out LaBronze Sanderson stole second. Mitchell Soderston (Fresno City College) singled to center field scoring Brain Gaad and LaBronze Sanderson. The Fresno Cardinals scored two runs off three hits. Pitcher Tyler Walker (Kerman/Fresno City) came in relief and pitched three innings. He gave up three hits, two walks, two earned runs, and struck out one. Cody White (Reedley College) singled to right field to start off the fourth inning. Nate Dalena (Fresno City College) grounded out moving Cody White to second.
