CLAY GARTNER THROWS A COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT WITH THE HELP OF CHRIS KUBER’S HOME RUN The Cardinals win the second game of the doubleheader San Jose, CA June 18, 2011 – In the sixth inning of the second game with a runner at second and no one out, Chris Kuber came up to bat and hit a home run. The Fresno Cardinals got their first home run of the season. Clay Gartner pitched his first complete game shutout of the season. He pitched the second game of the doubleheader and only gave up six hits. Mitchell Sodersten and Brian Gaad both made their pitching debut for the Cardinals. They each pitched an inning of shutout ball in the first game.
