Tigers Football is 2-1 in Golden Gate Conference Cherie Smith Sports Editor Reedley College played their second game in the Golden Gate Conference against West Hills College, winning 42-24 and giving them two wins in the conference. The next week they played at Laney College where they lost 37-20. Reedley College 42 – West Hills College 24

Reedley College Tigers traveled to West Hills College Falcons in Coalinga on Saturday, October 27. Both teams scored in each quarter and all the points were touchdowns. West Hills College missed all of their extra points.

West Hills College scored first with a touchdown. Then Reedley went on a 28 point run, including scoring three times in the second quarter. Dashown Flestcher caught a 31 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sean Stell in the first quarter. Jaydon Brown intercepted the West Hills quarterback. Stell threw a 16 yard pass for a touchdown to Donte Capers. Marqueis Wells got an interception to help Kendrick Peeples get a 20 yard touchdown catch from Stell. Capers had a 2 yard touchdown run. West Hills scored a touchdown. Right before half time the Falcons missed a 57 yard field goal making it 28-12 Reedley. West Hills scored first and last in the second half with a touchdown. The Tigers scored on a five yard pass and a six yard pass to Will Hanford. Reedley College won 42-24 over West Hills College. Stell went 31- for-46 with 392 yards, five passing touchdowns, one interception and ran the ball four times for 16 yards. Capers ran the ball 14 times for 38 yards including a nine yard run and had four catches for 36 yards. Peeples had five catches for 210 yards including 52 yard catch. Fletcher caught the ball three times for 45 yards including a 31 yard catch. Chris Zaker had one catch for 40 yards. Hanford caught the ball four times for 29 yards. Terrence Tatume had three catches for 26 yards. Devin Cox caught the ball once for six yards. The Tiger offense had 392 yards passing and 53 yards rushing. Reedley College 20 – Laney College 37 On Friday, November 2, Reedley traveled to Oakland to face Laney College. Laney got the first points of the game, a touchdown. Reedley scored on a one yard touchdown run by Carter. Laney


went on a 31 point run in the second and third quarter. In the fourth quarter Cox caught a six yard touchdown from Stell. Peeples had an eight yard touchdown catch. Laney College won 3720 over Reedley College. Stell was 33- for-54 with 308 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Carter ran the ball 11 times for 35 yards, including a 28 yard run, and had five catches for 28 yards. Dexter Clayton ran the ball three times for twenty yards. Capers ran the ball twice for seven yards. Hanford had 11 catches for 115 yards. Peeples caught the ball eight times for 79 yards. Cox had six catches for 55 yards. Tatume had two catches for 20 yards. Kazorey Blackshear had one catch for 11 yards. The Tigers offense had 308 yards passing and 61 yards rushing. Antonio Mathis, Jaron Henderson, and Derek Riley all sacked the quarterback. Reedley has more wins than they did last season and are 3-6 overall. Reedley College is 2-1 in their first year in the Golden Gate Conference. The final game of the season is on Saturday, November 10 at home against Chabot College with kick-off at 2:00 p.m.
