Women’s Volleyball splits season wins with College of the Sequoias Cherie Smith Sports Editor Reedley College Women’s Volleyball hosted Fresno City, traveled to Taft, and hosted College of the Sequoias (COS). They went 21 during the span. When Reedley went to COS, they lost in five sets. This time when they hosted COS, Reedley won in four sets.

The Tigers were defeated by the Fresno City College Rams, 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, and 25-17). It was at Reedley College on Wednesday, October 10. Last year when Reedley hosted Fresno City they ended 57 game conference winning streak, but this year it did not happen.

Reedley traveled to Taft on Friday, October 12 to play the Taft College Cougars. Reedley lost 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, and 25-11). In the first set Reedley took a 13-12 lead, then the Cougars tied it. The Tigers were able to tie it at 17, but were not able to do much. In the second set, Taft got a 10 point lead and Reedley did not get any closer. Reedley Tigers hosted the College of the Sequoias Giants on Wednesday, October 17. Reedley won 3-1 (25-16, 25-16, 23-25, and 25-14). The Tigers are 4-4 conference and 6-9 overall. The next home contest is Wednesday, October 31 at 6:00 p.m. against West Hills Coalinga.
