INTERNSHIP IT Education: IT Community Champion (Trainer)

How would you like to travel around Malaysia, teaching in different communities? Are you interested in being submerged into different cultural environments?

Work in local communities across Malaysia, teaching basic IT and any tech related subjects that you like (e.g. photography, music production, videography you need to commit at least 6 weeks. You will get free training, accommodation, food budget and a transport budget. The demand for IT education is growing rapidly, so the sooner you start the more choice you will get about where to go!


JOB DESCRIPTION

Implement teaching programs within the community Training, motivating and inspiring underprivileged youths Planning activities and challenges to test the practical IT skills of the students. Running tech-related workshops, classes and activities.

Undertaking community development works with SOLS 24/7 Assisting the Community Development Officer in conducting English classes. Being actively involved in SOLS 24/7 events


JOB DESCRIPTION

Providing IT support to the community centre and its users Assisting the Community Development Officer with any troubleshooting or IT related tasks Ensuring that all the computers in the community centre are functioning and being used properly Supporting local NGOs and individuals in registering online for funding, setting up email and social media accounts etc.


INTERNSHIP DETAILS

Realization date: 17.1.15 - 28.2.15

Length of internship: 6 weeks - 3 months

Location: Rawang Port Klang This is an unpaid internship. Internships lasting longer than 4 months may receive an allowance on a case-by-case basis. Food and accommodation will be provided to all interns. Transport allowance is provided for work related tasks
