Help with internet/device access : BT have announced that it is partnering with the government to provide free data to disadvantaged families to help in the support of remote learning. The Department of Education (DfE) is providing laptops and tablets to schools to help children and families access remote education during the pandemic. However, you will need to apply for this through your child’s school. You can find more information on this via this link Get laptops and tablets for children who cannot attend school due to coronavirus (COVID-19) - GOV.UK (www. gov.uk) The DfE have also published that there is scheme that has been put together to temporarily increase data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. Increasing data allowances on mobile devices to support disadvantaged children - Get help with technology - GOV.UK (education.gov.uk) If you are a Virgin Media customer, they have also said that they will provide 20GB of extra mobile data for free to disadvantaged children, with its broadband packages that already have no data limits.

They will include three hours of primary based school programmes every weekday on CBBC and then at least two hours of secondary based programming every weekday on BBC Two.
