ITINERARY: Day 1: Arrive into Phnom Penh Arrive into Phnom Penh and privately transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at The Governors House / Landmark Room Day 2: Phnom Penh (B/L) After breakfast at the hotel, This morning you are taken on a Cambodian Genocide Tour to visit the harrowing S-21 Security Prison and the Choeung Ek Killing Fields Memorial. Phnom Penh became a ghost town during the brutal Khmer Rouge regime that terrorized the nation in the 1970s and lead to the deaths of over 2 million citizens. After lunch at Malis restaurant, continue to explore the glittering Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, admiring the over 5,000 silver tiles covering the floor and the collection of shiny golden Buddhas. Then take a short walk to visit the National Museum, home to the country’s most important collection of ancient Cambodian artefacts. Return to hotel and free at leisure. Overnight at The Governors House / Landmark Room Day 3: Phnom Penh - Kep (B) This morning journey is a mix of Cambodian architecture of the late 1950s and 1960s and authentic experience of local Cambodian street food and seasonal fruits. Begin with a visit to the spiritual Wat Phnom. From here set off a Cyclo rides to see some French colonial buildings (guests only can view from outside) include the Post Office, the National Library and the Railway Station. Continue on to the art deco Central Market “PhsarThmei”, Cambodia’s largest market and a Phnom Penh landmark. Built in 1937 by French architect Louis Chauchon, the four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from silver to seafood.

Here you have chance to try as much as local food and seasonal fruits available in the market under coordination and explanation from your tour guide. In the market you will also have the chance to meet with a traditional Cambodian fortune teller and have your fortune told (at your own expense). Afternoon transfer by vehicle to Kep, the quiet, charming and beautiful beach town. Transfer takes about 3 hours (175 km). Overnight at Knai Bang Chatt / Sea View Room

Day 4: Kep (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will enjoy Cambodian Cooking Experience (Seafood Menu) with a visit to an impressive crab market where live and fresh seafood being traded. Finally, time to enjoy your own culinary creation as your lunch. Remainder of this afternoon is free at leisure. Overnight at Knai Bang Chatt / Sea View Room

Day 5: Kep (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Free day at leisure. Overnight at Knai Bang Chatt / Sea View Room Day 6: Kep – Siem Reap via Phnom Penh (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You are transferred to Phnom Penh Airport for your 40-minute flight to Siem Reap. Arrival, transfer to your hotel for check in and refreshment before exploring the world's largest religious monument of Angkor Wat at sunset. Walk its shady cloisters among orange-robed monks and watch the setting sun paint the temple's lofty prangs (spires) and carved walls gold as dusk falls. Your guide will show you the best spot for Kodak opportunity. Overnight at Park Hyatt Siem Reap / Park Room

Day 7: Siem Reap (B/L/D) Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today start your Angkor adventure at the mysterious Ta Prohm, also known the “Kingdom of the Trees” or “Tomb Raider Temple”. Continue to visit the giant smiling faces of Bayon temple, Terrace of the Elephant and Terrace of the Leper King to view their detailed stone carvings. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive to visit the pink temple of Banteay Srei temple “the Citadel of Women” and on the way back stop at the Cambodian Landmine Museum, founded by Mr. Aki Ra who won the CNN Hero Award in 2008. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. This evening join a delicious dinner with Apsara Dance performance at your hotel’s courtyard (menu of 3-course meal – drinks excluded). (Kindly note that the Apsara performance is only available on Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat & Sun – if today is not fall into any of these day, the dinner will move to the next day.) Overnight at Park Hyatt Siem Reap / Park Room Day 8: Siem Reap (B) Today rise early to catch the spectacular sunrise over the wonderful ruins of Angkor Wat and discover this mighty temple at dawn, regarded by many as the quintessential Angkor experience. Enter through the eastern gate and exit at the west gate avoiding the crowds. Return to hotel for breakfast. At 9.30 am, commence your private Khmer traditional kitchen lesson. Start with a short walking to Siem Reap market (Old Market) where the colors and aromas of fresh, vibrant ingredients will thrill your senses led by one of kitchen brigade with a shopping list for today’s menu as your guide. A full three courses Khmer menu will be prepared by you, all under professional guidance by the skilled Cambodian chefs. Enjoy your self-made lunch. This afternoon is free at leisure or you may explore Siem Reap more as vehicle and guide are at your disposal. Overnight at Park Hyatt Siem Reap / Park Room
