Back to the origins

Digital change is constant, ubiquitous and fast; by 2020 there will be close to seven times the number of connected devices as people on the planet. It’s a new social fabric, a reshaping of the relationships that people have with one another and even with themselves, fundamentally it’s a new and different way in which people organise and live their lives. A part of the population react to this social change looking for a return to the origins, to the concept of an ancestral past. Chiara Galli

Doodles

Taboo

Doodles represent something that we already know, it’s not only a childlike drawing but a real return to handcraft, a rapprochment with natural materials.

There is an increasing distance between people and clothes, nudity is a way to express the desire to return to an ancestral and primitive world, showing oneself without taboos. @__chiaragalli__

What’s the weather like?

The use of carbonised energy resources has increased, causing higher emissions of CO2. If all agricultural areas were cultivated with organic products, emissions would be reduced approximately 30%. Humans’ health is affected by extreme variations of temperatures due to the climate change. We are more stressed and our work skills’ falls. Everyone care about it and everyone answer with dfferent kind of reactions: as provocations or supporting environmental sustainability. Chiara Galli

Fruity

No waste

In recent years there is a tendency to approach to a biological and vegan world, in response to pollution and climate change, not in terms of healthy eating but as a way of life exhibited through social networks. Another central strand of reaction against the increase of pullution is a denounce against the wastefulness of resources through the use of a great deal of fabrics for clothing’s volumes. @__chiaragalli__

An ode is a type of lyrical stanza describing nature intellectually as well as emotionally. “Ode” becomes the attempt of gloryfing the female body in a collection of four bridal dresses. Elements of the Ancient Greek aesthetic are mixed with more contemporary ones. Past and future are crystallized in the immediate moment of the creation thanks to the “inspiration”. Ancient Greek poets used to invoke the Muses to better inspire themselves and narrate their stories. The story of this collection is about this unique moment of inspiration guided by this enthusiastic divinities. Moved by the goddes “Ode” is a gift to the contemporary woman, a celebration of her uniqueness in space and time.

D‌ÄNIM is a denim collection inspired by Ikea’s world, conceived as a brand extention of the furniture brand. D‌ÄNIM is pop, versatile, democratic. Pop because denim was first used for clothes worn by workers because of its high durability. Ikea is one of the most popular furniture shop in the world. From the start, he wanted to sell in huge volumes so prices could stay lower than anyone else’s. His vision was for a well-designed life for everyone. Versatile because denim has different fits, cuts and colours. This provides endless choices and looks. Likewise IKEA provides different option for very different needs. The democratic nature of denim can be understood considering how it’s accessible to a huge market, unifying and linking different styles and cultures. For its accessability and variety of options IKEA can be considered democratic. @__chiaragalli__

This capsule collection is a ski outfit that can respond both to the demands of ultratech sport garments and the standard sportswear and leisurewear that can be considered as fashionable in an urban environment as well. In skiing environment the reflection of the light on surfaces covered with snow may produce startling optical effects. We focused on the contrast between the surfaces that reflect the whole solar spectrum and those that absorb virtually all the light. The outfits follow the principle of mixing style and as such, involves layering. A modern, dynamic woman might use this items for skiing, running or even for a casual walk in an urban environment, when combined in another way or with other garments and/or accessories.

Graphene TECHNOLOGY

Nanomaterial that allows to redistribute human heat. It is electrostatic, bacteriostatic and reduce the friction of air and water. Starting from the exagonal Graphene Plus pattern we put the classic graphene’s pattern less thick in the hotter zones like chest and lower back.

Vantablack TECHNOLOGY

Vantablack S-VIS® by Surrey Nano Systems is a carbon nanotube paint (CNTs) that can be directly applied on any surface, absorbs practically all incident light, making it ideally suited to addressing a host of light-suppression and lightmanagement problems. In addition, light energy bounces into the nanotube cavities and it is swiftly absorbed and transformed to heat. PLACEMENT PLACEMENT PLACEMENT PLACEMENT

Bone conduction reach the inner part

of the ear through the temporal bone sounds. The sounds are sent to the brain as electrical stimuli. This kind of headphones do not fully cover the sounds coming from the environment. In the city traffic you can listen to music or answer the phone, still connected with the world around you.

Kintsugi is a Japanese practice that use

gold to weld together the fragments of a broken ceramic. Each repaired ceramic presents a different interweaving of single golden lines that are unrepeteable. The practice comes from the idea that from imperfection can be born an even greater form of aesthetic perfection.

The bag is inspired by the Siberian mi-

600mm

litary sleeping bag sack: a flexible casing combine with a grid structure that contains it. The elastic structure is adjustable and for this reason the content determine the shape and the volume of our bag. It can work as a duffel bag during the travel and then become a light backpack and adherent on the way down the slopes. The logo printed in green fluorescent and the zipper combine together they make visible the skier in bad weather conditions and represent the identity of the brand Stone Island in every day occasion.
