The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, founded in 1922, is an independent, nonpartisan organization committed to influencing the discourse on global issues through contributions to opinion and policy formation, leadership dialogue, and public learning. Each year, The Chicago Council hosts more than 100 public events featuring world leaders, policymakers, and other international experts. Some of our most notable past speakers include former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Senator Barack Obama, U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga, Harvard historian Niall Ferguson, author Steven Levitt, and Nobel Peace Prize-winner Mohammed Yunus.
