Welcome to Summer 2022! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to sharing the Club with your friends and family. We are on track to have another outstanding year for membership growth.
Please join me in welcoming our newest members of the Club.
As a reminder, we are currently offering a Preview Membership Initiative. The Preview is a great opportunity to enjoy the Club with no up-front initiation fee. Further details are included below.
If you have a friend who is interested in joining the Club, please reach out to me at membership@chicagoyachtclub.org and I will share our membership brochure and application and extend an invitation to an event.
I am also happy to announce that we are offering a special on membership reinstatement this month only! Those who resigned from the Club in good standing may reinstate their membership for $500 through July 31. Do you have a friend or family member who could benefit from this special? If so, please have them reach out to me at
membership@chiagoyachtclub.org.
I have received several calls from current members asking for details on the process to become a new member. I sincerely appreciate your participation in recruitment! Please see a step by step guide to joining the club to the right of this article. I hope you will bring a friend to a Member Mixer this summer. Our next one is Sunday, July 31 at Belmont.

Preview Membership Initiative
PREVIEW & EXPLORE THE CLUB
Preview the Chicago Yacht Club and enjoy full access to all of the Club’s amenities and services, with no up-front initiation fee. You will be responsible for monthly dues, fees and charges.
PREFERRED INITIATION FEES
Preferred initiation fees will be offered if you commit to joining the Club within your first 60 days of your Preview term. Also, you will enjoy the opportunity to utilize staged payments.
ADDITIONAL REWARDS & CREDITS
Additionally, new Members will enjoy up to $50 in monthly credits through December 31, 2023. Credits may be utilized for amenities & services, including dues!
The Steps to JoinCHICAGO YACHT CLUB
STEP ONE
Complete an application and a short essay that expresses interest in on the water activities.
STEP TWO
Have one (1) current member sponsor and one (1) current member endorse. If the candidate for membership does not know any current members, they should reach out to the Membership Director for an introduction.
STEP THREE
Sponsor and endorser will complete a questionnaire on behalf of the candidate.
STEP FOUR
Admissions Committee Interview
STEP FIVE
Board of Directors Approval
