WORDS
There has never ben a new "Black", only the desire to change the norm and innovate.
Black and White, Male and Female, Above and Below - All aspects from the same source. There is mastery in embracing the light and being a representative of it but who embraces the darkness? At what point do we take responsibility of that infinite aspect that exists in everyone and cannot be ignored?, at what point do we recognize the darkness in us? It is when we embrace our shadows and our light that we can become fully balanced at a conscious level. It is on a Sunny day you’re able to see the shadow that the Light reflects. These reflections are merely an illusion produced by the Light but it doesn’t mean it’s really you. These shadows are only there to remind us of the illusion we experience and that there are aspect s of ourselves we must acknowledge and make peace with. And when we integrate both the Light and the Darkness and become aware of the infinite wisdom that they both contain; we will set ourselves free from judgement, not only towards others but also towards ourselves.

YOU NEVER KNOW HOW CAPABLE YOU ARE UNTIL YOU PRACTICE. DARE TO DISCOVER YOUR HIDDEN TALENTS. My first experience with Yoga was at 18 with a “Rodney Yee” Yoga DVD and I was actually thinking “I’m going to workout.” I really liked Yoga at that time because of my genetic ability of being flexible. It is a stigma that everyone has to be flexible to practice Yoga. I actually learned later; I was too flexible (It’s called hyper flexibility) I had to learn to strengthen my hips and shoulders and not allow myself to be so flexible. Yoga is about stretching, breathing, alignment, strength, balance, and most importantly enlightenment. Of course, I had no idea of the power of Yoga when I started, I just wanted to tone my body. I really loved my first instructor at my local gym, she was 53 years old and taught all different kinds of classes. I remember being so motivated by her. I was thinking I am only 21 and I can hardly keep up with this lady. That was my first inspiration to become a fitness instructor.

EMBRACE YOUR BODY, MIND & SPIRIT THROUGH YOGA I began learning proper alignment and realized I had been practicing with improper form for years. It makes such a big difference to find correct symmetry, but it took a long time and a lot of correcting to stop my bad form. It takes time, discipline and effort to get good at anything, just holding a pose correctly is hard and so satisfying. Funny how everything in life boils down to “practice”, such as: our body skills, work and even relationships. They all take practice to reach our fullest potential. I love Yoga because it continues to give me more understanding of myself. It teaches me how to calm myself through breathing, how to clear my mind and how to go into a meditative state. I learned how to flow with my breath and feel my body move in a way that is like dancing and mediating at the same time. I began feeling stronger and I also learn how to diminish my aches and pains. I was feeling and looking fabulous, so what’s not to love?
YOUR NEXT LEVEL OF EVOLUTION Hindu philosophy is the base of Yoga. In a nutshell, you learn how your thoughts, mind, spirit, body and even taste buds need to be controlled through understanding of oneself. Reaching the highest form of enlightenment is the life lesson we seek. We also learned how to assist each other and deepen stretches. Stretching became a niche of mine as the years went on. I started helping my students reach flexibility goals, and alleviating pains from injuries or tightness. Eventually I created Stretchtogo, which is a mobile stretch service here in the South Florida area. I love the moment when you do something you didn’t think you could do or didn’t know you were capable of. You feel so amazed with yourself and it’s a beautiful feeling. I remember thinking, “wow! this is me?” The sense of accomplishment is so fulfilling when you realize what you’re capable of, is so much more than you ever thought possible and the practice starts to finally pay off. I truly believe this is where the connection to your Higher Self starts.

CIRCULARITY IN FASHION
REPURPOSING
YOUR CLOSET REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, REFURBISH, RESELL, REPAIR, RENT. The “R’s”. Circularity is becoming increasingly popular among Millennialls and GenZs, but it is still an abstract idea to most. For younger consumers, adopting circularity and making it part of the lifestyle is a natural step, part of today’s culture. But terms such as recycled, repaired and refurbished may still have negative connotations and some older consumers may require education and encouragement.
With the rise of social media influencers, fast fashion and discount culture, several million tons of fashion items are discarded every year, with approximately 70% of it going to landfill. But a single garment can create value repeatedly – through sale and resale, repairs, refurbished and recycled, to start the loop over. Fashion companies are starting to innovate their business models and to embrace this circular economy to build a more sustainable future, part in response to the economic crisis and concerns about environmental issues. Companies should offer rental options such as subscription services and encourage buying rented products at discounts. Create timeless collections, reflecting the declining of seasonality and constant drops of newness; offer tips for care and repair. But this starts with us too, the consumers. Let’s adopt a new mindset for this year, both in fashion and lifestyle. Have a great 2021!

THE OTHER SIDE OF SUCCESS
SARAH SCHWARTZ
There is a stigma in society ties success to a monetary value, a certain status, and what you obtain materialistically. By nature, we are creatures of habit and tend to fall in line with how society operates and stereotypes without question.
Women have struggled throughout the years to make a name for themselves and to be equally viewed and respected in society. A lot of that respect was earned and our voices were only heard once we did enter the workforce in more significant numbers. The introduction of woman into businesses is what made way for the societal norms of a woman’s success to then be tied to her career or business title. The prior “norm” was for the woman to stay at home to care for the house and child. This position was never celebrated or even thought to hold any merit. Therefore, success was never a word used in conjunction with a stay-at-home mother or housewife, which is sadly not the case at all, and never was. The word success holds so many different meanings; to me, it is all about perspective. Success should not be narrowed down to one aspect of life, and there is no level to achieve or price tag attached to success. To be a stay-at-home mother or housewife, maintaining and supporting a healthy, safe, and loving home is equally as important as any salary or career level. The home is often over looked when in reality, it is the most important aspects of your life, even if it feels to be in the background.

Not one should be overlooked, and we are all successful in our own ways. A quote women should live by: “DEFINE SUCCESS ON YOUR OWN TERMS, ACHIEVE IT BY YOUR OWN RULES, AND BUILD A LIFE YOU’RE PROUD TO LIVE.” ANNE SWEENY The house and home is your safe place, your place of rest and recovery, and above all else it supports your family. Your home is where you grow, nurture yourself and your loved ones, and create priceless memories. I applaud all women who support themselves and their loved ones either from home or from the workplace. Through experiences, both good and bad, and without regret, I have taken a lesson from each one of them. Through the years, I have learned to stay present in the moment, to not worry about things I cannot control. As I like to say, worrying is like a rocking chair, you go back and forth but never get anywhere. I have learned that I cannot control others' actions, but I can only control my reaction. This helped immensely create more peace and harmony in my life as I no longer waste time and stress the things I cannot control. How do you create a beautiful environment at home? Home is a sanctuary, your safe place. You want to build a living space that allows to you grow and learn to your fullest potential while offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A calm and comforting home allows your body to rest and recover without additional stress. An organized and clean home is a happy home.
Each new day is a new opportunity to learn and grow and appreciate all this life offers. Now more than ever, it is essential to be grateful for what you have and know that it is enough. Today, I can independently stand on my own two feet physically and metaphorically and continue to better myself in all aspects of life. IG: @sarahayy
After the past year and being home more than ever due to the pandemic, we realized how easy it is to create clutter. I am guilty of accumulating material things and have run out of space. Little by little, I have gone through each room to reevaluate what is needed and what can be donated. Creating more open space physically and mentally by donating helps tremendously maintain a healthier and more calming environment to live in. By creating small spaces that serve a particular purpose, I have shaped a beautiful and functional environment at home. We have floor to ceiling windows at home, which allows natural light to shine through. I always encourage natural light to shine in and bring in plants to help the space flourish. In front of one of the windows is where I practice yoga, meditation, and any fitness activities. Having these spaces dedicated for a specific purpose keeps an even flow to your home and allows you to enjoy each space. When you look at yourself as a wife, what is the most important aspect you value? Offering unconditional love and support through all aspects of life is what I value most. I don’t mean unconditional love romantically and poetically, but true love and respect for your husband or partner that allows them to thrive. Unconditional love allows for open communication lines where each partner feels safe and comfortable at any time to speak their minds freely. Open communication, coupled with mutual respect for one another, allows us to flourish individually and as a couple. Knowing at the end of the day that you have full support from your partner without question makes you that much stronger and makes life worth living. Also, never go to bed angry. Life is too beautiful and too short, not to spread love continuously.

E NR IQUE CABR E R A
WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR PASSION BECOME YOUR PROFESSION IS THE GREAT RESULT THAT YOU ARE DOING THINGS WELL. ALWAYS KEEP THIS IN MIND, THE WINGS ARE YOURS AND THE SKY BELONGS TO NOBODY. ENRIQUE CABRERA Enrique, tell us what inspired you to become a sculptor?
tivate the total attention of the viewer, that is something extremely difficult.
It is not a decision that at some point in my life I decided to make, it simply happened naturally since my childhood I developed in an artistic environment, mainly music and I think it is one of the main triggers of my great passion for what today it’s my life. At what age did you feel you were different and how did that make you feel?
All artists seek to be able to captivate, catch, make your piece speak and transmit a message that the viewer feels an attraction for your work. Beyond being able to overcome it today I have been able to achieve it and that makes me be more and more perfectionist in all my projects of whatever size they are.
Of all your works, which do you consider the most relevant at the moment and why?
If you could go back in time and change something in your life, what would it be?
Each and every one of my projects are important. I always give my best and I believe they are all equally significant: however if I had to pick I would say: “The restoration of the bicentennial route in 2010 in Mexico. Being the first in history to be fortunate enough to have the opportunity and responsibility to give life to the heritage of my beautiful country. To me this is an honor and a great responsibility and I am proud to be the protagonist of it.
I would not make any changes in the slightest. I feel extremely proud, happy and very satisfied with each and every one of my achievements as well as my failures. Life is an experience full of adventures that sometimes are not what we expect but in the end it is always what it has to be. Everything in the end has a great purpose.
Also the sculpture of Naia in 2020 for being a part of great importance in the history of life in Prehispanic America. When you create, what is the source of your inspiration? The source of inspiration cannot be the same in all projects, there are many factors from the mood in which I find myself, the environment “which is very important”, the type of project and the client. What I do, I do in a very organic way. I allow my work to flow and I always give the project a structure. This happens mostly with projects that I do for pleasure and without having them committed or sold in advance. Most of my work now is sold without being completed; always at a much higher price than I had in mind. What has been the most difficult thing in your career as an artist and how did you overcome it? Definitely being able to be recognized internationally and to see my work today in many different countries. Being able to cap-
36
What are the projects at the moment that you are most passionate about and what are you doing to achieve them? I am passionate about all my projects from the smallest to the largest and most transcendental – “I always leave all the best of me”. Something extremely important that I do is keep my word, be honest, responsible and follow each and every one of the principles that my parents instilled in me. That is the most important thing for me and immediately afterwards the harvest will take place in an organic and very prosperous way. Could you give advice to all the people who would like to pursue a career as an artist? If you can dream it, you can achieve it ! Only do what you are passionate about with emotion, conviction and dedication. Always seek perfection in what you develop, the result will be a great success. A very marked phrase that I have is this: “When you make your passion become your profession is the great result that you are doing things well.

ROBERT O PALAZUELOS BLACK DIAMOND
The concentration of “Prana” here is very powerful. This is the only Maya city in front of the ocean in the entire American continent. There are other small ruins in Playa del Carmen near here but there are only ruins and not a city. Tulum’s original name was Zama meaning “dawn”; the city of the dawn. So I strongly recommend to wake up early and see the sun rising, it’s truly magical. You talk about energy portals and that says a lot about your level of consciousness. Did you know about energy or did you experience these energies here in Tulum for the first time? I feel like I was brought here for a higher purpose. I experienced a spiritual awakening from a very young age. I am very involved with the concept of I AM; I am here, I am there, I am everywhere. I AM Wisdom, I AM Power, I Am the resurrection and I AM life.
I am convinced that the most important conquest is the conquest of oneself. When you’re able to conquer yourself, your duality, your fears and everything else; then the divine essence of the creator starts to show through you. This is a gift we all have and we must learn to cultivate it. Roberto, most people know you as an actor, how did you evolve to become a businessman and bring Tulum to its next level? I first arrived in Tulum around 25 years ago. I first came to the hotel Diamante K where we are now and they sold it to me. It was a smaller Inn, it only had about nine cabins and little by little we kept adding more. From this point on I started to grow really quickly as a business owner. The beaches in Tulum are beautiful so back then I couldn’t resist to purchase them because they were really affordable. A piece of beachfront land that today is valued at $30 Million USD, back then it was only about $300 thousand dollars. So that's what took me from having the vision to becoming a successful real estate investor in Tulum. In fact, a lot of people laughed at me saying this was a destination for “hippies” and things of that nature. Soon after I partnered with a group of businessmen and we started to develop what Tulum is today. We raised the rates of the hotels and worked a lot to change the image of this paradise. I even became the president of the hoteliers in Tulum. Today we are proud to say we are a high-end destination just like Ibiza and Bora Bora. We see you’re very involved in bringing back the cultural aspect of Tulum. What was your inspiration for you to become the promoter of our traditions in Mexico? I’m not only a promoter of culture here but also of nature. Tulum is a very powerful energy portal where both “good and evil” prevail and they are both very present. It is said Tulum is the entrance to the underworld and the higher realms. So here there are low vibrational frequencies but also very elevated ones.
38
We are all children of the same source, we are all ONE. So when you start to see the animals, other people and nature as the same source as one with you, then you start to align with the frequency of the universe.
So if I were to ask you one simple word after I AM, what would you
say? I AM Love. But also; I AM Light, I AM forgiveness, I AM Abundance, I AM Protection. You see? In the past people would pray to a God and ask for protection but the wisdom of the I AM does not look for a God outside of us; on the contrary, it finds the God within and knows him/herself as one with this source. So instead of saying
“Father forgive me” you say “I am forgiveness” and I forgive myself.
It is said that one of the hardest things there are is to forgive yourself. We go around life carrying stuff and we don’t feel worthy of receiving because we don’t forgive ourselves. Very well said. We understand you have a new project on the works. Could you tell us more about it?
Yes, we are working on a new hotel called “NAIA” like the sculpture by the great artist Enrique Cabrera”. Because of the global situation this year we fell back but we are starting development in 2021. We are planning to start construction in January to hopefully open Naia Hotel sometime in 2023.
What is the message you could share with the new generations coming behind you? How do you achieve the mastery of the self?
You have everything within you to be successful. However; if you don’t have the good intention of “the dharma” in your life; it would be very difficult to become successful. So what I suggest is not to seek for anything outside of yourself. Just remember that only your good actions will take you where you want to be. Follow IG :@robertopalazuelosbadeaux

ELIE NEUF E L D BUILDING MYSELF
THE MIND CAN ACCOMPLISH POWERFUL GOALS WHEN YOU DECIDE TO PUT 100% EFFORT INTO THEM. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MAKE THE DECISION AND PRESS GO
You have built yourself as an athlete; what do you do to build yourself as an entrepreneur? Being an athlete requires both mental and physical strength. You have to be accountable for your own time - no one will remind you to stay on track. In fitness, similarly to entrepreneurship, you’re forced to solve problems in a creative way. You’re also forced to build and rebuild again and again. Where does your true strength come from? My truest strength comes from within. My ability to have a fresh perspective. My experiences growing up shaped my ability to do so. I think when you can look beyond your past and really take control of your own future, it’s a beautiful thing. It's not easy, but it takes time. I count my blessings every day. How do you influence people through doing what you love? I have always been a big believer of show not tell. My body, although mine is definitely a bit exaggerated (haha), shows others how you can transform your own physique with proper work and dedication. I hope to influence people to realize that they can become as fit as they want to be if they develop the right mindset. What are you currently doing to make those dreams and goals become a reality?
Elie Neufeld was born and raised in North Miami Beach FL. Growing up, Elie was guided by his competitive nature and drive to succeed. He discovered fitness at a young age, and found that he had an innate skill or strength training and bodybuilding. He originally wanted to play basketball, but worked harder at developing a six pack and continued to channel his love of competition in fitness. He realized fitness would be something important to him for the rest of his life – a part of him he was compelled to excel in. Elie could you share with us what inspired you to get started in this industry? My inspiration is from the process – the process of taking control of your body and mind. When training, you see progress every day; you have to overcome struggles and you are excited by even the smallest accomplishments. I became so much happier when I was on the path for wellness.

ALL IN
Poker says: “Okay, this is my hand; how do I play my hand perfectly to extrapolate max from this situation? Same way life asks: “How do I spend my time the best and most wisely to live optimally every day. How am I making optimal decisions so I can get the most out of each day?”
At the time it felt like the beginning of the end, I was a kid, only 16 years old when my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was very young, lost and confused; I remember a lot of nights asking “why is this happening to me”? To see my hero, my mentor, not have the strength to fight and beat this vicious disease was extremely debilitating. To witness him suffer, while being completely helpless was something I couldn’t come to grips with. I needed a distraction to help occupy my time. At the time, at my most vulnerable, I was living with a childhood friend who first introduced me to poker. I needed something, anything, to give me strength and hope that there were brighter days ahead. Poker provided me that outlet, a coping mechanism to deal with the pain I endured from my father’s battle with cancer. Albeit temporary, it was a much-needed escape from the reality I was engulfed in. My father, being the person he was, and the love he had for my brother and I always downplayed the significance of his cancer. He did not want his only two children to worry or be afraid. He was a fighter and did what all fighters do, fight till the very end. Even when the odds are against you, you continue to fight and that's what in part defines who we are. When my father passed away it was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t have any direction in life, so I questioned myself “what am I going to do with my life”? I remember feeling I didn’t want to be in this world any longer, I had an un-fillable void.
Giving up was too easy, I stayed up the night of my father’s passing and wrote a 15- page letter reflecting back on all the amazing moments and lessons I was handed down. From that moment on I swore that everything I would do in my life I was going to dedicate to my father. He was such a great man; he taught me the important things in life like respect, resiliency, and values. What I learned is most valuable is how finite time is, and to be present in the moment. From that day on I was going to dedicate my life and living in his honor and leaving a legacy that wouldn’t be forgotten. Today I live for my family and for my father. I know it makes him proud to see the person I have become. Every day is about creating a better version of yourself.
Noah, at what age did you start playing poker professionally? My professional career got started at the ripe age of 21. The majority of states require you to be 21 and over; however, there are a handful of states where it's legal to play as long as you're at least 18 years old. While I was in college, I played online which is quite different from playing in person. My uncle at the time had cosigned a credit card for me. He thought it would be used for books for college instead; most of the time, I used it to deposit money on a poker site that lets you play when you're 18 years old. I decided to take a leap of faith. When you're young you have less responsibility, you can take more risk so I went mindset it's now or never. When did you win your first poker tournament? When I was 21 I won my first tournament on the PokerStars website. It was a 300 dollar entry fee; there were 800 players in it. At the time, I was just really learning the game. I wasn't as good as I thought I was. I would definitely call it beginner’s luck. I won around 46k dollars. So what did I decide to do? I told my boss, "Listen, I'm going to Vegas tomorrow" to which he replied, "If you leave you're fired," so I quit because to me I was doing what I loved. Within a week I had lost all the money, my chest was hurting and I was very stressed out. Again I questioned myself thinking "what am I going to do now"? I just had $45,000 and now all I have is student loans, anxiety and a plane ticket back to Miami. I thought to myself "maybe this isn't for me" but then again, I've never been a quitter. When did your big break come? My one big break was around the corner. I just needed to make a couple of right turns to get there. It was the weekend of my close friend's wedding, so I rented a car and drove up to celebrate this occasion; little did I know both of our lives were about to change drastically. Poker Stars, the online site just started hosting a special edition of what they called the Sunday Million. It was a $1,000 entry fee and all I had to my name were $3,000. I remember having to wake up early to drive home and wire money to the site. The tournament began at 4pm on Sunday and by 5am on Monday morning I was 495,000 richer and in a state of pure bliss.
Talking more about your personal life? How does your wife support you in your career and the things that you do? My personal life is the perfect blend of chaos and calm. When I speak with people, I tell them and emphasize that balance is the key to it all. Having a life partner who always lifts you up and pushes you to be the best you is critical for the development stage. I like to say "behind every great man is a better woman". I feel fortunate to have found her; she's always there supporting me. I go to Vegas to compete in poker tournaments for two months during the year. She's always reminding me to go chase my dream and never let anyone tell me I can't do it. Having this support system behind me allows me to be Uber - focused. If you weren't a poker player, what would you be doing? Poker is one of my true passions in life but if I had to pick something else to do full time, I would either be a tech entrepreneur or run a Venture Capital fund. I love the art of the deal; to me, it is similar to making a deep run in a poker tournament. The end goal when you play is to win. Like in life, many define what winning in the game of life inevitably is. When you invest or build a company, you're trying to fill a void or create a niche. Now you have reached a high level of success, what's next? One main focus right now is philanthropy. I think we were put on earth to leave a legacy and impact people's lives in such a way that when others say your name, it holds real meaning. Right now, I want to focus on building something: "A foundation, a family" I'm launching "The Noah Schwartz foundation" and going to write a book. So as I mentioned, I want to leave a legacy in different arenas in life. Poker is excellent; I had a lot of fun with it, I met many amazing people but now it's time for the next chapter in my life. Has poker as a game taught you anything that you apply to your life? The game of poker provided so much insight into how to approach life. When you sit down in a poker game, you begin by evaluating your competition; as the game progresses, you continually about your opponents. The same way we learn via life lessons. I look at that both as games but with just different endings. The key is making the best decision possible to get what you feel is the ideal result. Whether it be; investing, maintaining your health, spending each hour doing things that increase your happiness. Even choosing my life partner with all these things. When you start to dig deep, you know you want to try to make the best decision in every situation. Is there a tournament you remember as the most memorable of your life? By far the most memorable tournament I've ever played was "The first Big One for One Drop". The event was put on by the owner of Cirque du Soleil Guy Liberte & The World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was the first-ever $1 million buy-in that took place, and the cause that was addressed made it even more memorable. The One Drop Foundation's mission statement is "to ensure sustainable access to safe water and sanitation for the most vulnerable communities through innovative partnerships, creativity, and the power of art."
Tell us about the one time as a poker player that you made a horrible choice and learned something from it? It's hard to pinpoint just one time to be quite frank. One of the keys that many people who get into gambling as a profession do is mismanage their bankroll and I was no exception. One that comes to mind is - I just had lost a substantial amount of money in a poker game and as a result I wasn't in the right frame of mind. I decided to try my luck on an NBA game without any edge. So I went to the SportsBook and bet six figures on a random game. I won't bore you with details, but the end results weren't in my favor. Lesson learned to stick to what you're good at. Do you consider yourself being one of the best poker players? At one point when I was putting in a lot of time and effort playing I felt I could compete with anyone in the world. Poker, like anything, takes a lot of effort and repetition to master. At that point it showed I was ranked number 4 in the world based on the Global Poker Index, which uses a formula to rank the best players in the world. What would be the name of your book? The title is something I have jockeyed with back and forth. I want it to symbolize life & poker all in one. Since a good poker player never shows his hand, you're just going to have to wait and see. NAIA THE 13,000-YEAR-OLD NATIVE AMERICAN Researchers and artists have reconstructed the face of a teenage girl who lived 12,000 years ago in Mexico and it's not the kind of face a person might typically associate with Native Americans. The remains of the girl, nicknamed Naia (after the Greek term for a water nymph), were recovered from an underwater cave on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Naia is regarded as one of the earliest known residents of the Americas — but her skull has a shape associated with African or South Pacific populations rather than the typical Siberian look. Despite that different look, researchers say Naia is genetically related to Native Americans who came to America later, from Siberia via the Beringia land bridge. Today, contemporary Mexican artist Enrique Cabrera brigns NAIA back to live through his sculpture. Recreating the sculpture of NAIA is one of the most important projects in my career as a Plastic Artist due to the great social and cultural impact that it represents for the history of humanity, being a watershed in the beginning of life in America and this positions me Country in the magnifying glass of the experts in a way like very few sculptural projects ever carried out before, the idea of sharing this great project with the world is a great effort to raise awareness among Mexicans that in each destination in our country we have a lot to learn, exploit and publicize the history of life on our planet. “NAIA WILL LIVE FOR ETERNITY” Enrique Cabrera @escultorcabrera EnriqueCabrera.art

San De
MIGUEL
ALLENDE
Described in its award entry as a “hub for expatriart artists” the city is four hours northwest of Mexico City, in the state of Guanajuato, and is known for its Spanish Colonial architecture exquisite food and colourful facades.
SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE MEXICO NAMED BEST SMALL CITY IN THE WORLD With San Miguel de Allende's charming streets, stunning architecture, and vibrant color, it's no wonder travelers ranked the city so high. for good reason. The town is an incredibly charming colonial hill town that reminds me of the hills of Tuscany. The architecture is truly one of a kind and features vibrant colors that are rarely found elsewhere. There are a lot of American and European expats who live there, contributing to the blending of unique and beautiful cultures. Also, throughout the year, there are a handful of rich cultural festivals. It requires extra travel, time but it’s well worth the effort. MUST DO Visit the Mayan Baths, an underground catacomb of warm mineral baths lighted with candles just 25 minutes outside the city. It’s truly an amazing experience! Another great activity is simply walking the downtown streets both during the day and night and stumbling across an unending number of shops, cafes and restaurants. TIME IS RIGHT The weather is moderate year round, but I think spring is the best time to visit, as the jacarandas that dot the entire city are in full bloom – you don’t want to miss it! You can walk the entire core of the city, but the streets are all cobblestone so make sure you bring comfortable shoes. CHIC ADVISE There is so much to see and do, but if time is limited, do your research beforehand and identify the types of things you want to do and see so you won’t miss anything. When all else fails, find a local expert who can share with you their favorite local places.
EGYPT, THE DOOR BETWEEN HEAVEN & EARTH BY NIKKI JONES
The Pyramids of Egypt were built to connect to the divine and then transcend it. The purpose was to connect with everything that was created. There is something magic about any story relating to the Ancient Egyptians, but very few dare to look further. The remembrance and vague details about some big pyramids, giant sculptures and Gods. We have heard all the “answers” from the stories about who, what, where, when, and how the Ancient Egyptian society operated. The truth is that only by entering the Pyramids of Giza and placing your hand on the colossal stones; all you thought you knew goes out the window. We simply do not know what happened there. There is way more to Egypt than one person could ever know. We often try to look at the past with the lease of the present. Forget what you have been told and what you think you know, minds (like parachutes) work best when open. It is open, safe, and healthy. While you are incarnated as a human being on this planet Earth, do yourself a solid favor and go see this human right of passage. Egypt awaits you.
There was a long period of hibernation from the collective consciousness about the mysteries, importance, and majesty of Egypt. She is stretching and yawning again. The old guard has finally passed a torch and places that have been closed to the public for decades are starting to open again. Places like the Bent Pyramid that has not been open since 1965 and its satellite Pyramid since 1956. It was postulated that the Bent Pyramid was shaped in this “unique way” because of an architectural “mistake”. There are clumps of clear high-quality mica schist found all around the ground surrounding the Bent Pyramid and “nowhere else known” in Egypt. Suggesting perhaps it would have been encased in mica at one point. Your imagination can run wild with that one for we do not know the functions of Pyramids. The new wave of researchers are now confident they were not built as “tombs”. Pyramids are barren inside, there are no carvings, paintings, or beautiful architectural elements. No mummies of note have ever been found in any pyramid of significance. The tombs are in the valley of the Kings and Queens, which have all those bells and whistles. The pyramids had a utilitarian function.
SPHINX - GUARDIAN OF THE NEW TIME Built around 10,000 years ago in Leo’s era to guard all wisdom of the new time. From that moment the Nile river became the path towards illumination so humans could become Gods and Goddesses.
THE THREE PYRAMIDS & THE ORION CONSTELLATION The Three Pyramids of Giza in Egypt are aligned with the Orion’s Belt. The Orion constellation is considered the origin to connect to the center of everything. The stars around the pyramids create a spiral that mark Orion’s multidimensional door which is the door to all other dimensions. The Most important of these stars is Mintaka (far right). This is because it is the first star that rises from the East and sets on the West in the stellar firmament. It also divides the North and South sky. In other words, this star is the perfect balance between time and space. The other two stars move the energy when Mintaka integrates the energy and open the portals between dimensions. THE TEMPLE OF ISIS Is now for the first time since its discovery over 150 years ago, restored and now open to the public. Inside, but very little remains covered, there is a tiny interior structure that has a square cut out in the wall, almost looks like it could have been a very modern fireplace, but when you stick your head in the square vibrations can be heard and felt.
THE TEMPLE OF GODDESS HATHOR Showcases some pretty convincing light bulb hieroglyphs. The Serapeum of Saqqara houses 24 giant granite boxes with perfect seams and polish all out of one solid piece of stone that we could not construct now for any amount of money. Nor could we lift structures like the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan that would weigh 1,200 tonnes.
