Staff News And Finally
Mark Stiles We are very sorry to have to tell you that Mark who worked at Chigwell for many years
as a chef sadly passed away just before Christmas. He was thirty four years old and
was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago. He lived with his partner, Louise, and we send her and the family all our thoughts and prayers.

St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Shortly before Christmas, the Chapel Choir performed at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, in the Christmas Inspire Carol Service.
The service was
conducted by Reverend Jane Sinclair, Canon of Westminster and Rector of St Margaret’s.
Readers included Mrs
Eleanor Laing MP, Reverend Tony
Miles, Deputy Superintendent Minister of Methodist Central Hall, Mrs Chantal-
Aimee Doerris, Chair, The Bar Council, and The Right Honourable James Brokenshire MP.
As we have come to expect, the
Chigwell Chapel Choir gave a stunning performance witnessed by close to
eight hundred people and the service raised £10,000 for Kids Inspire which supports vulnerable young people and their families in Essex.

End of Term Football Match
The much anticipated football match between staff and boys was played on the last day of term. The first half was relatively even with the half term score 1-0 to the staff.
The boys came back strongly with two goals in quick succession from Justin Morse and Liam Farrant. A member of the staff side went on to score a hat trick and a good finish came from Ben Sanders bringing the final score to 4-3 to the staff.

And Finally
I hope all Chigwell families have a

busy because it is a short term, but no doubt Chigwellians will rise to the
challenges that the coming weeks will present.
With best wishes Yours sincerely
