COUNSELING SERVICES The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center offers a variety of virtual and in-person counseling services and support groups for all family members, including: INFERTILITY COUNSELING Whether dealing with a new diagnosis or wondering what now?, we can help those experiencing infertility sort through their emotions and options.

A monthly support group for those experiencing infertility. This service is free and open to anybody, at any point in their journey.

ASSISTED REPRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY/THIRD PARTY REPRODUCTION COUNSELING Counseling can help with decision making and provide support to families raising a child conceived via donor egg, sperm, or embryo.
COUNSELING FOR DONOR CONCEIVED INDIVIDUALS/MPE/NPE We are uniquely qualified to work with individuals struggling with not knowing a piece of their genetic history, whether through adoption, donor conception, or any other non-paternity event.
POST ADOPTION COUNSELING Whether or not you worked with The Children’s Home, we offer a lifetime of counseling services for adoptive families and adopted individuals. These services can be completed through traditional counseling sessions or completely free of charge using Pennsylvania’s Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) post permanency services. We can help you decide which service might be best for your family.
BIRTHPARENT COUNSELING We can help women and couples facing the decisions and emotions of an unplanned pregnancy as well as coping with the grief that might follow an adoptive placement.
