7 Ways to Raise a Grateful Child
7 Ways to Raise a Grateful Child ďƒ˜Children nowadays are growing up in a rapidly changing environment. This leads to a
conflict of morality and practicality in their education. But gratefulness is a trait that serves them for life and is necessary for the sake of humility. Here are some ways to educate children to be grateful: 1) Teach children to say 'Thank you' and 'Please' to everyone they talk to. 2) Moderate your own behaviour in front of children as they tend to copy their elders. Take this opportunity to teach them manners. 3) Make them realise the value of things. This can be done by giving them stuff moderately and taking it away when they disregard its value. 4) Read them bedtime stories to motivate them to apply the morals they learn from the tales.
7 Ways to Raise a Grateful Child 5) Take children to orphanages and animal shelters to make them realise the value of life and be thankful for what they have. 6) Teach them about the lives of the less fortunate the hardships they undergo. The contrast with their own life will make them realise their fortune.
7) Make children spend time with the elderly so that they learn from their experience and knowledge. Children are unique souls with pure and innocent hearts. They take shapes of what we mould them into, and thus, it is necessary to give them space so that they can learn from experience. The type of person they grow into is decided by their own choices and their parents' support.
