The Wharf Animation Project Mandate:  

To attract community and cultural activity to the Wharf during the summer months, highlighting and promoting Yukon Artists and Cultural groups. To provide a free outdoor venue, accessible to all.

Planning your event on The Wharf:  

   

  

The entire Wharf is available to use and the User is encouraged to set up in a location they find ideal. The Wharf is a public space and all people are welcome, private functions can be accommodated however there will be no guarantee your group will be the only community members using the Wharf during your booking. There is power available to users, it is suggested that users bring an extension cord or two dependent on the requirements and set up. It is suggested that users provide their own tables and chairs should they require the use of them as the Wharf Animation project does not have a stock of them at this time. Should user groups require sound equipment The Wharf Animation Project Coordinator (Kasey Rae Anderson) can provide a list of local supplies. The Wharf Animation Project Coordinator can provide a small amount of publicity and promotion through ArtsNet as well as Facebook, please forward any information or graphics you would like included as part of your event promotion. Should inclement weather prevent your event from taking place, the event can be postponed or rescheduled. Maintained garbage receptacles are available on site. During events The Wharf Animation Project Coordinator may not be present, though should an issue arise they will be reachable by phone at 335-8864.

Booking Your Event on The Wharf: 

If you would like to book the Wharf for your arts, cultural or community event, show, workshop, etc. Please contact The Wharf Animation Project Coordinator, Kasey Rae Anderson (information below) The Wharf Use Agreement (located on page 5 of the User Guide) must be signed and returned your event booking will be confirmed.

YUKON RIVER WHARF - USE AGREEMENT Use of Grounds – Yukon River Wharf (between Roundhouse and White Pass Train Depot – see attached drawing)

Authorization for such use is hereby granted upon returning a signed copy of this Agreement to the Yukon Arts Centre.

Conditions of Use are on the reverse, please read them carefully and sign where indicated.
