HUNDREDS OF MUSHROOM SPECIMENS ARE DISPLAYED AT KALABAKA NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM IN GREECE

ccording to foreign media reports, the Greek Kalabaka’s natural history museum opened a 1100 square meters area to display animals and mushroom samples for an extended exhibition. More than 300 kinds of animals and 250 kinds of mushrooms in threedimensional models of different size and color were shown.

The exhibition attracted a large number of foreign tourists.

It is reported that the exhibition designer is a German expert, who together with his aides sculptured these mushrooms. The colors, sizes and shapes were very realistic. BIOLUMINESCENT MUSHROOMS FOUND IN DARK RAINFORESTS OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA IN USA

M

agic mushrooms? They are shining in dark rainforests captured by a photographer in Northern California.

Amazing news comes from a photographer who captured incredible pictures of bioluminescent fungi. There are 65 species of bioluminescent mushrooms. They give out spectacular light throughout the day and night, but the light is certainly more obvious at night.

The photographer devoted himself to capturing glowing mushrooms throughout many countries. He states that of the 85,000 species in mushrooms, only 65 make their own

PHOTOVOLTAIC GREENHOUSE INCREASES EDIBLE MUSHROOM PRODUCTION EFFCIENCY IN CHINA

T

he national photovoltaic edible mushroom industry technology innovation strategic alliance was found in Qingdao, Shandong province on 29th Dec. The photovoltaic greenhouse was designed uniquely and was commended by the visitors. It was reported that solar power systems were set atop the greenhouse, which produced clean energy. This not only offered daily lighting for the greenhouse, but also fed surplus electricity to the national grid, loving plants such as Semiaquilegia, Aloe and others, were grown on allowing others to use clean energy. Light- the sunny side; and sciophilous plants were grown on the shady side.

The plants grown on the shady side could provide organic fertilizer to the plants grown in the sunny side.

After the harvest of mushrooms, the spent mushroom substrate can provide organic fertilizer to the plants grown on the sunny side.

This not only reduces product cost, but also increases economic and environmental benefits significantly.
