Coach of the Singapore SEA Games Swim Teams between 1993 and 2009; Olympic Games Swim Team 2004 as well as Singapore 1st Youth Olympic Games 2010. An Olympic swimmer himself, David represented Singapore in the 23rd and 24th Olympic Games between 1984 and 1988. David is slated to bring his experience and knowledge as a coach and as a past Olympic swimmer to reinvent and modernise the Club’s current swimming programme. We warmly welcome David onboard and look forward to him working collaboratively with the Club to bring swimming to even greater heights.
Fang Ying joined the Club since June 2008. Armed with genuine service attitude, the cheerful individual has created countless memorable dining experiences for diners at Man Zhu. As an inspiring team leader, the role model welcomes all assignments and challenges with a positive mindset.

Members are reminded that their membership cards are strictly non-transferable and all accompanying guests must be signed-in at the various entry points. COOKING DEMO @ TRATTORIA GALLO D’ORO The secret of preparing sumptuous Italian cuisine was unveiled in the comfortable grounds of the Michelin trained Silvio Moreilli’s Trattoria Gallo D’oro on 25 October. The aspiring cooks were inspired by Chef Moreilli and the session ended with a sit-down meal with the chef himself.

SOCIAL DANCE PARTY – HALLOWEEN NIGHT It was a ghoulish evening at the social dance party as everyone came dressed in their Halloween outfit and danced the evening away on 18 October. Games such as “Dressing the Mummies” added fun and laughter to the party. It was indeed another successful party organised by the section.

CREATIQ GAME DESIGNER - 3D GAME PROGRAMMING This highly acclaimed workshop on 1 December was back by popular demand! The youths learnt about basic programming logic and created their PC games effortlessly through the use of an authoring software. Dads and Mums must be proud of their young game creators as they tried their hands creating the next IT game.
ROBOTICS: RISE OF THE EV3 ROBOT GOOZILLA It was build-a-robot session on 24 November. The youths put on their thinking caps and programmed their formidable version of robots using the new Lego EV3. Undeterred by the challeanges, the witty “Mechanical Engineers” configured the movements of the robots which succeeded in navigating through the maze.

The Midget Warriors were indeed unstoppable when it comes to having a blast of a time at the scream-worthy dinner gathering for their efforts and sporting spirit during the 20th SSC Open Midget Meet. Special thanks to Club President Edwin Lee, aka The Conqueror, for hosting the Halloween party.
30TH JUNIOR INTER-CLUB AGE GROUP SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 The inaugural event was held at the Singapore Sports School on 16 November. On 12 October, CSC hosted the annual challenge at the Ponderosa Golf and Country Club. Despite a passing shower, the players completed the 18-hole course in the company of old friends. Kelab Golf Batu Pahat once again proved to be too strong and retained the challenge trophy. Our golfers stayed over at Ponderosa’s newly re-furbished resort for massage and a final round of golf at Tanjong Puteri the next day.
